On the land of pharaohs where they built the pyramids and only 10 minutes away, Horizon Pyramids Hotel is there brand new and built proudly aside to this wonder, in which most of the rooms have a pyramids view. And only 20 minutes away from down town, you can visit the most magnificent sightseeing in Cairo. Not only that, it’s just 7 KM away from the world famous Egyptian Museum with its innumerable ancient artifacts and, of course, the ‘must see’ incomparable Tutankhamun death mask and other relics. Horizon Pyramids Hotel is a hotel that can offer you a new perspective on your destination and on the way you can see all things around you

Arrived in the dark and it didn't look too bad, but we asked if they had a restaurant and was told yes, but he forget to tell us it was closed, so we had to go in the coffee shop which when we got the food it was very greasy and unpleasant, it says tea and coffee in room but there was nothing so we asked for kettle and cups which were paper and when looked at were all sticky inside, so presumed they had been washed out. The outlook from balcony was like a rubbish tip, lock on safe broken and the bathroom was awful. We checked out later that day even though we were supposed to stay 3 days, and not one member of staff asked us what was wrong, they just let us leave. Please do not go in this hotel its horrible.

A little worried when we arrived (hubby and I traveled together). When we walked into the lobby there were a bunch of teenage kids making a lot of noise, talking, laughing, etc. It was after 10:00 at night so we thought this was strange. Our room had a broken glass balcony, part of the carpet was pulled up and could be easily tripped over. The phone in the room was filthy. There was mold in the bathroom at the floor and shower. Just didn't look very clean at all. I have pictures I will post. We were able to see the pyramid in the far distance but looking out our balcony we saw a lot of trash just across from the hotel. It was extremely noisy from the constant horns beeping. Trust me, "constant" is not an exaggeration! Breakfast was not very good but I guess since I've never been to Egypt or had Egyptian food maybe it's just what they eat. Not appetizing to us though. The orange juice was more like a watered down orange drink. There was not an outside pool as it shows in the picture. There was an indoor pool but it was covered up and the area was made into something like a wedding area. We booked this trip through Travel Zoo and Travel-O-Deal so they chose the hotel. We stayed there a total of 5 nights I believe and it was okay but when they say it's a 4 star hotel keep in mind that 4 stars in Egypt is not the same as 4 stars in the U.S. In the U.S. it would have been considered more of a 1 star in my opinion. There were guards at the entrance also.

Very warm stuff, friendly and smileling. I feeling safe in this hotel. And the Egiptian food in Milano restaurant is just out of this Word. The best chief in Egipt works here. Although rooms need renovation I still strongly recommend this hotel. Not expensive stay in Giza. And nice wiev of pyramids.

This hotel needs a total renovation. The room is dirty, stained carpets in the room, hallways, moldy bathroom walls and shower curtains. It smells like cigarettes because smoking is allowed throughout. The room door had ridges as if someone tried to break in which felt unsafe. The hallway lighting is dim which adds to the feeling of being unsafe. The staff did their best to make our stay comfortable but the environment made it impossible to feel comfortable or safe. The noise from the traffic was deafening even in the wee hours of the morning. It just never got quiet. It was also noisy in the hallway. We stayed one night only because we could not allow ourselves to stay any longer. We asked to be transferred to another hotel when we returned to Cairo from the Nile cruise. No travel company should book this hotel for their guests. It is inhabitable.

We booked this hotel based on the Aracan name, as we have stayed several times in the Aracan Eatabe Luxor, where we have alway enjoyed a clean and very friendly environment with great service. I was deeply disappointed when I arrived after a very long journey from the UK to a dirty foyer and a very run down looking room with a bathroom in a state of disrepair. Staff were not very helpful and the food at breakfast was poor at best. As for the pool area, this was clearly not available to guests and appeared to be permanently decorated for weddings and special occasions. The only good point was Milano's coffee shop/cafe/bar.

Booked into this hotel with a friend as we have stayed in the Aracan Etabe Luxor many times and assumed it was to the same standards. Hotel in general in poor repair and was dirty. Bedrooms dirty with signs of disrepair, lack of towels for two people. Reception staff disinterested and not welcoming. When asked for a kettle was told it wasn’t his problem and waited 2 days for one to appear. Food for breakfast was poor with little choice. Had to ask for items to be replenished and flask for tea was broken and difficult to use. On one occasion had to wait for access to restaurant as it had not been cleaned from earlier use. Swimming pool inaccessible as set up for weddings throughout our stay. Would not return or recommend to anyone. Staff require training on customer service and hotel in general needs bringing up to standard. Only saving grace was the Milano cafe, staff attentive and food was good.

Aracan Pyramids Hotel is in a great location who wants to visit only the Necropolis of Giza & Pyramids (10 minutes by car). You can see the Pyramids from rooms window & balcony. Within walking distance of some good restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores. But those who wants to see Cairo, it is better not to stay here. Because it takes around USD 30 for up& down from the hotel to Cairo & also take time due to Zam. Though the authorities claims that this is a 4-star hotel, but I do not think so. The foods for breakfast & dinner is so so, not too much variety.

The internet wasn't good enough through the rooms abut I had to stay at the reception at early mornings to do some work. I got sick because of the cold weather in the reception
