Abusive hotel manager called Essam . He insults his guests and lacks professionalism and has massive communication issues. I booked 2 rooms at this hotel for my friends who came from another country and you know this is a very hot weather week. There were no water available in the rooms !!!! They insisted to charge the guests for water which is disappointing and disgusting. What if someone needed to take medicine or was at risk and needed to sip a cup of water! Bringing this to the one who is supposed to be the " hotel manager" he started being very abusive and insulting. I really wish that I would speak to the owner directly!!

Stayed here at the beginning and end of our g adventures tour. Quite central spot in down town Cairo, very basic rooms but clean comfortable bed and good bathroom and shower. Abit dated and lobby is kind of scary didn't find staff friendly at all. Nice little gift shops in lobby. Variety on breakfast menu. Food in restaurant was okay quite basic. Stay was good for a budget hotel.

I can't believe that this is the place that G Adventures chooses to use as its meet-up point for Egypt trips. What a disappointing hotel! It looks like it had its heyday in the 1970's or 80's...and then nothing has been done to it since. Very tired, shabby looking. Also it's ridiculous that they charge for WiFi as the speed is incredibly slow. Breakfast was underwhelming each day. I thought the location was bad as well. Yes, it's fairly close to the Nile but you're on the wrong side of it.

We were super tired when we stayed in this hotel the first night...for the fact that the hotel had beds and we could sleep horizontally, I bequeath them one star...another for a pretty good dinner at their restaurant. Otherwise, weird, old rooms that look like they are from 1973. Also smoke everywhere.

Starting hotel for gadventures Egypt tour. They refused to do my laundry and I had been in Egypt for several days already so I was running out of clean clothes. All the others hostels had same day service. First room had no hot water. Moved to be with a roommate and that room had hot water.

We stayed at Santana for 3 nights either side of our G Adventures tour. Our overall impression was of a hotel keen to make as much out of tourists as possible: - the airport transfer is very expensive. We were charged $30 (500 LE) whereas a taxi will charge you more like 300 LE. - a staff member tried to short-change us as we bought some water - G Adventures call the WiFi free but actually you only get 2 hours free on the night the tour starts, after that you have to pay per hour (and the speed of the internet is definitely not worth paying for). The rooms seem to vary in size wildly but were all fine. The location was good for downtown Cairo but there are a limited number of restaurants in walking distance. The breakfast was okay if a little bland

The hotel is among houses and we were woke up by the crowing of the nearby roosters Could not believe that they would be present in a city. Since we arrived late at night, we did not get a good view of the surroundings. Breakfast was decent as was our room.

The hotel was not great and room smelled like cigarettes. Not a great welcome to Cairo. The hotel was booked by G Adventure, I feel like they could do better or get the hotel up to par. Our entire group was a bit dissatisfied.

We arrived at this hotel at 2.30am and driving through the narrow streets were wondering what the hotel was going to be like - not great as we discovered. Probably a 2.5. The reception staff were not that friendly or helpful with poor English. The room was just okay, no safe. The wi-fi a real battle! Their idea of clean, especially in the bathroom, was a long way from ours, they need a steam clean approach. Apart from the omelette, the breakfast had little appeal. Like most hotels we encountered in Egypt, they do not have a maintenance programme from what we could see.

The hotel is located on a small street and is not what was expected after making a long trip. There is a small balcony/terrace with little to no view. I would suggest only two people stand on it at a time. The room was clean, with adequate space, and could use updating. The staff is helpful.
