I had to say that I had some doubts about Indiana Hotel upon making the reservation; however it is really a good hotel. We arrived late at the hotel, we were welcomed with a smile and within few minutes we were at our room, really fast and good service. The room was more than perfect for us, the room was clean , and the beds are very comfortable with clean sheets. There was a new led T.V with lots of channels, moreover the bathroom was good in size, clean, and the water pressure was excellent. The breakfast was the normal breakfast as with other hotels, but there was plenty to choose from, and the coffee was really great!
The location was one of our main reasons we choose this hotel as other reviewers had mentioned, it is a brilliant location as you can find lots of shops, restaurants, supermarkets, grocery stores, pharmacies, in addition to its proximity to nearly every place we needed to go to like Egyptian museum, Cairo tower, down town, khan al khalili, and other places.
We also really enjoyed the roof café with its relaxing atmosphere and wonderful views for Cairo at night and the delicious food served.
All in all we highly recommend Indiana Hotel for its cleanliness, good service, perfect location and the excellent rates.

I stayed here yet again. Location, Location and price is the saving grace. I will not eat at restaurant on premises. I will use the others in the area. The rooms need upgrading. The bidets need repairing.

The Indiana is not an international class hotel but provided you check that the toilets flush and the showers run hot water you will be comfortable here. The furnishings are a bit battered, the lifts a bit creaky, a good clean is overdue but I would happily return. The staff are friendly, the breakfasts are good and there is a rooftop bar serving stella that looks out over Cairo. The Indiana has charm.

We stayed here for 1 month in August, and now we returned again.

Indiana Hotel is a great option for affordable accomodation in Cairo. Located in Dokki, a pleasant area with lots of shops, cafes, pharmacies nearby, and the river nile 2 min walk away with beautiful restaurants.

The best thing about the hotel is the spacious, big rooms, comfy beds. Large fridge, TV, lots of seating area in the room, Also they include breakfast which makes it better value, you can expect things like Egyptian bread, fresh salad, falafel, and free coffee or tea. The staff are all friendly, accommodating. If you are looking for basic, clean accomodation it's perfect.

located in a nice area of Dokki.
Recommend cafe Antakh 2min walk away.

I have stayed in many budget hotels around the world and this was one of the worst…

The check in was extremely slow, seem to take ages! While I was waiting, I went to get a coffee in the hotel cafe and I didn’t have change. Half an hour after going to my room… the manager was aggressively knocking on my door! I asked him to charge it to my room… I hated that he went up to my bedroom, it felt threatening.

The hotel is dirty, and smoking is allowed inside. The building smelt of stale cigarettes. And I noticed that at breakfast people were smoking at their table.

The breakfast is grim, poor quality

Wires were loose in the bedroom, the TV wasn’t working, there’s no hairdryer, no hot water. I rang the reception but they didn’t seem interested.

I’m sure they’re better hotels nearby in Cairo.

I don’t recommend staying here.

Staying in Indiana hotel during my visit to Cairo was a perfect choice. The hotel is suitable for relaxing indoors, while there is always something to do around the city. The staff is nothing but helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

We have stayed in Indiana hotel several times now and often for a duration of more than 2 months each time. Located on a street in Dokki a couple mins walk from the Nile. Excellent location in cairo an Uber a few mins away to everything.

It is our home when we visit Cairo.

It’s a safe, clean, spacious rooms and most of the rooms are renovated. It’s like your home. They also have a small swimming pool and rooftop cafe.

Basic breakfast included. Reception areas with sofas and Wi-Fi to chill out. If you just want somewhere clean and safe to sleep and relax then this is your place , visa and cash accepted.

Amazing friendly and welcoming staff and all the doormen etc Will do anything to help u :)
