We stayed there for three nights at the very beginning of our trip, in February of 2023. The place was stylish and friendly. We paid for the room with pyramid view on Priceline, but we ended up in the room without a view. The room had a view of another wall, only a few feet away. We did not complain, because the room was quiet, and we soon realized that quiet room in Egypt - with all the noise in the streets of Cairo - is a precious commodity. This means we don’t know whether we would have been moved to the pyramid-view room, had we complained. Also – the room was only to sleep in, so the view was not so important. The view to die for, was from the rooftop restaurant – where we had our breakfasts, or other meals – if you so choose. The rooftop is all about an unobstructed view of the pyramids. The view is priceless, no pictures can ever do it justice. We revisited this hotel, a month later, on the last day of our trip to Egypt, because we concluded that the view of the pyramids from the rooftop restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip. We were instantly recognized and treated like royalties, we were told a number of times by different staff members to “feel like you are at home”, we had a number of cappuccinos with excellent cookies that they have in this restaurant. Of course, at the end, there was a bill for food and drink, but it was reasonable. We highly recommend this place. I would go as far as – I would recommend this place to stay even when you want to visit attractions in Cairo. Uber is readily available, for 100 Egyptian pounds one way. It is a good plan to have a breakfast on the rooftop of Great Pyramid, take in the view, hop on Uber and be in downtown Cairo in 25-30 mins. Giza is a better, cleaner and quieter place to sleep in than Cairo. In the evening you have the view of the pyramids again, sometimes with light and sound effects, if there is a show. Just try to avoid rush hour in the afternoon to get back to Giza from downtown Cairo – because it is hell. If you do not want to stay in Giza (any hotel for that matter) for the views – do this for your lungs – as downtown Cairo is extremely polluted, dirty. We both got sick at the end of this trip with throat problems – largely because of pollution in downtown Cairo – where we slept the last 5 nights. Much better situation in Giza – as wind from the desert blows the smog away. …
We LOVED our stay at the hotel, the room was pretty and very clean. The view of the pyramids was amazing!! The staff super helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. We ate at the restaurant one night and we were not disappointed. We recommend this Hotel a 100%.
Excellent service from the receptionist to the restaurant waiters. Great food and outstanding view of the pyramid from the rooftop bar restaurant. Recommend to get the camel and tour of the pyramid services from them instead going there without cause they have better deal and the won’t trick you as the people in there.
I stayed there with a group of friends. Some in rooms with view, I was in a quieter "normal" room ( it was clean, very quiet, far from noises of street or lift... very convenient if you have light sleep). All staff are incredible friendly and helpful (even those who don´t speak "european" languages) and try to make you feel at home. Breakfast: variated and with "hot dishes" (you have to ask, as they don´t have it on display) Views of Giza Plateau and Pyramids is amazing from the top roof restaurant (staff there just ... incredible good proffessional and friendly (special thanks to Ali Baba and Jusuf) Front desk: they help you with any needs you may have. Location: just across the pyramids (it is a bit smelly and noisy at certain times....it is a "passage" out of all the visitors in pyramids) Good value for your money.…
We stayed as a family in February and couldn't get a pyramid facing room. But that didn't deter from the experience. The triple room we had was spacious enough, superbly clean, piping hot showers (which wasn't the case in even more expensive hotels) clean bed linen and towels. Drinking water bottles were provided. The view from the terrace is out of this world! It's unbelievable to be able to see the pyramids up close. The best part of the hotel is the food and services of the restaurant. The service at dinner was attentive and the Koftas and other dishes were lovely. The experience at the restaurant for breakfast is what is making me write this review. The restaurant was busy but the manager managed to get every table what they wanted and was one of the most hospitable people we met in Egypt. He went out of his way to note what a guests liked and ensured that they had repeats. Though we wetr in a rush to begin our tour, he ensured we had a full breakfast before we left. The spread was great and much required before a busy day of walking in Giza. Thank you Great Pyramid Inn for making our stay at Giza memorable.…
Great stay with an incredible view of the pyramids. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Ali Baba was the most friendly host at the rooftop restaurant, and Dina at the front desk booked for us a great Cairo tour at the last minute. We highly recommend this hotel.
It’s worth the visit for the lovely view of the pyramids of Giza. 😊 The staff were nice and food was good The reception staff Manaa and Hussain were very friendly. Standard rooms were a bit small but good for 1 night Overall a clean and friendly place with an amazing view from the rooftop
Very helpful staff. I sprained my ankle and they gave me an office chair to get around. Friendly restaurant employees and AMAZING restaurant views. They have some rooms with double beds which are very roomy.
Thanks for an excellent stay. Amazing views. Decent breakfast and dinner options. Absolutely professionally organised trips. Thank you to Alladdin the manager and Hamada our guide. Best place to stay in Giza. Helpful staff, English was spoken. Thanks again
Absolutely amazing view, you seriously cannot get any closer to the pyramids. The staff is very hospitable and go out of their way to accommodate you. The room was very clean and the AC was perfectly cold and appreciated in this heat. I would stay here again :)
