I really don't know how they charged me 46€ for two nights in a bad condition hotel like this during off season. I mean it shouldn't be called hotel when there are hostels better than this. The rooms are so bad and old very very old it feels the whole place is gonna fall apart. The only reason I stayed...

I stayed just for one night for my trip to Abu Simbel. The condition of the hotel is somewhat OK. The room that I book was a single room ensuite. The bed and toilet is fine for short term stay, although at the first look is not very promising. The good thing about this hotel is price - pretty cheap...

After having a great experience in Luxor in the hotel in the same price range I was slightly appalled with El Salam. Of course, you do not expect exceptional conditions for $15 per night, but the place was gloomy dark and run-down. I later had a talk with a German tourist, she sad El Salam looked exactly the same as...

I've planned to stay there for 5 nights, but after the first night I decided to move to other place. The place is old, noisy ( because of its location), dirty, their is a nasty smell allover the place, the breakfast is poor, even for this price category. I don't recommend at all

After travelling around Egypt for three months I have decided that Al Salam hotel was the worst place that I stayed in. The beds were very hard, and the location right on the corniche made the room very loud at night. The behind the counter staff weren't particularly friendly or helpful, which is unfortunate as they're the ones who speak...

So the room is fairly small. The air conditioner worked which was great! The bathroom was tiny, run down and the door did not shut. But the view of the balcony was superb! Loved it! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was every time you left the hotel, you had to turn in your key! I made sure...

I was in Aswan around two weeks ago and traveling on my own. I planned on staying two nights but on short notice, I could only stay one night! Even though it was short, I still had a great time! Great location, very helpful staff and clean rooms! I had a great night sleep before heading off to Abu Simbel...

I took a short solo trip to Aswan in November 2013 & just wanted a place to lay my head that was cheap, clean and centrally placed. The El Salam was ideal on all counts. I took a side room near the front at UK£7 per night (best rooms at the front were available for £10). I had a little...
