This is the 5th time that I have stayed here in the last 2 years, and each time my visits get longer and longer. It is like staying in a magic house, and every time you ask for something, it is there as soon as the staff are able to find it. The renovation is wonderful, as it mixes old...

Most beautiful hotel in Aswan at a very nice spot. Rooms are spacious, but comfort is not given. For examples: carpets were never vacuumed during our stay of 6 nights. Wardrobe and cupboards were dusty. Minibar too. Sofitel makes lots of advertising with there beds but our bed did not have a lush finishing and sleeping directly on the mattress...

Spent sadly only one night in this hotel, truly one of the classic hotels of the late colonial era. Complete refurbishment of the main building means it has more polish than its cousin in Luxor, the Sofitel Winter Palace, without having foregone any of its charm. Stayed in two adjacent garden view suites, which were massive rooms with balconies and...

the hotel has an amazing view and warm atmosphere with kind friendly stuff, you have to try the restaurants there and the trace in the morning but the best time to visit is in the winter, do not ever try it in the summer as its very hot.

We have been around the world twice and traveled extensively. This is one of the world's best hotels. A Nile view is spectacular. Luxor had more to see but this hotel helps even the score - but Luxor and the region's temples and history make it the best place to visit in the world in my opinion. That said, the...

This is the most amazing hotel, so beautifully decorated, just a joy to experience the decadence and craftsmanship of a bygone era, the attention to detail was a pleasure to be amongst. The view from our room was spectacular, the Nile is just lovely in this area of Aswan, just magical with the feluccas sailing about, we had just 2...

An amazing hotel with the atmosphere of the luxurious past but definitely newly renovated but keeping the scene of a century ago.The woodwork is unbelievable warm and at the high ceilings and walls you feel you are really back in a palace in another decade. It is very clean, the room large as well as the bathroom which very luxurious and well...

If you want to feel the spirit of Agatha Christie its a must to visit this hotel! You can relax at the promenade, enjoy your drink with an excellent view of the Nile river, smoke your shisha and fell that you are in the early 18th century! The menu of the restaurant is not so interesting! In such a place...

The first thing that strikes you when you land in Aswan is the serenity and beautiful horizon. The drive from the airport to Sofitel is quiet and let's you enjoy the simplicity of the place. Once I reached the entrance of Sofitel Old cataract you cannot miss the grandeur of the building. Painted in nice deep Marsala with white borders,...
