I can't stress this enough - please do not stay at the Sara Hotel. We planned to stay at the Sara Hotel because of the following information that is listed on all hotel booking websites: - Wifi available in all areas - Airport Shuttle - Shops around the hotel None of the above were available even though they claim to have all of them. Furthermore, since the hotel no longer fit our needs - we requested for a taxi and we were informed (after the hotel staff told us that the taxi would be arriving in 15 minutes) that no taxis come up to the hotel as it is too far away. When we informed the hotel manager that majority of the information listed on hotels.com & booking.com was invalid and was a lie, he offered to drive us to another hotel. Instead, he decided to drive us to the nearest intersection and told us to get out of his car because he was not a taxi service. The reviews for this hotel are fairly decent and we though that it would be a good place to stay. We were informed that the owner of the hotel passed away and since the, the hotel has been in a state of disarray. This is 100% true and probably the only thing that is true about the hotel.…
Such a great location. Superb views of the nile and sunset. The hotel is popular with locals. It's not easy to find. However, it's clear that it is suffering with the lack of visitors due to the drop in number of tourists coming to Egypt and this has resulted in them not being to maintain the hotel to the standards that us westerns desire. It's a pity. You pay your money and take your choice, if you want better you will need to pay more.
Terrible hotel do not book there. It's not clean at all, furniture in the reciption are broken, in rooms, curtains are torn and all fall of dust. There was a problem with sanitation in the bathrooms because when we opened tap water the water came out of the sink.
we stayed in the hotel two nights. The bathroom cleaned up after We complained. The view of my room was the Nile river and the pool area. The room condition was good. The management has to do something about the cleaning the rooms and pool area. You can see the hotel when you are in the Nile cruise.
The location of this hotel is Excellent as it has a direct view to the Nile river also you can see booth of Aswan and the High dams and quiet. The is located on a hill which gives more excellent view especially the sunset view. The hotel provides a good breakfast meal consists of :egg (boiled or fried), 3 types of cheese, beans, salad, honey, jam, butter and bread with juice and tea. The room was not in excellent condition especially the bathroom, as it is a little bit old and needs maintenance and refurbish. Overall the place is quiet and good B&B budget choise.
