Just simplest place to stay in Nairobi. Good for budget travelers. There is free wi-fi (rather slow), restaurant, they can organize taxi to airport for 2000KES (Oct 2013). Located opposite market where you can buy souvenirs, also close to supermarkets where you can pay credit cards. Rather expensive if I compare to similar standard hostels in Central Europe, however East...

I spent 4 nights there before returning back to Egypt .really like the double room I took with my friend , basic, clean and perfect for its price . Friendly people ( even when we caused them some troubles due to misbehavior of a drunken friend ) The major advantage is the location, you will be close to everything as...

I felt as an Irish man very exposed to everything, the location being ok during the day became very dangerous at night. Maybe as a pit stop its ok but apart from that id stay away. In saying this the staff were very friendly and very welcoming. It's just a pity about the location and the slaughter house in front...

hello Traveler we are sorry for the experience you had while your stay at the Embassy. Unfortunately there is a mobile church on Fridays 2 buildings away and they congregate on Friday evenings and pray into the night. I can assure you we have forwarded several complaints in regards to the same to the relevant authorities. As for the market...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night, the staff at the hotel were great and very friendly. There is a well priced cafe inside the hotel, a good wifi connection and they can arrange airport pick ups. The room was nothing special and unfortunately there was alot of street noise which made sleeping slightly difficult, for one night...

I have bee using the Embassy Hotel for years now. If you want to be in the center of Nairobi, it's hard to beat the Embassy. Safe. Friendly staff. Within walking distance of Kenyatta Ave. You will have to go out for food but luckily there's a very good restaurant next door, Bridges. I have found the beds very comfortable...

It's hard to find budget but not so horrible accommodation in Nairobi, so this was OK choice. Double room was 31EUR per night/per room. We had booked a taxi to pick us up from airport, it costed 25$, the driver was very nice. Room size was okay, hot water in the shower, but toilet leaked, so no barefoot there :)....

Stayed as a group of 7 people from 2 families in 3 rooms. Early problems included no working electrical sockets (but changed rooms, no probs), no hot water until 6pm (not mentioned anywhere in the hotel's blurb) which is a pain when you arrive dusty and hot. Basic rooms and facilities and good for downtown Nairobi, but two further problems.......

Hello Travelers We the management of Hotel Embassy are truly sorry to learn of the review and incident that occurred for our guests. We have reported to the authorities concerned in regards to noise pollution and have learnt that the building that is 2 blocks away hosts a church that performs on the last Friday of every month. I stayed at this hotel along with four other friends and we took up three rooms. The hotel is clean but a little bit run down looking. The price wasn't terrible and the restaurant in the hotel was decent with very cheap food. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating; the manager of the hotel even allowed us to...

We found Hotel Embassy as a good and safe base in Nairobi. The hotel has a basic rooms, but have everything you will need – hot water, tv, mosquito net, even free WI FI in the room, which was excellent. Best thing is location near the supermarket, where you can find everything you will need 24/7 every day (but don't...

“Be mindful, if you are on a budget, you may not want to stay in a hotel in a location where you don't have to take taxis to get around town as it can add up However, also keep in mind staying in a filthy hotel might not be the adventure you seek while traveling.”

“The front rooms or back rooms are probably both a bit 'city' noisy....2nd, 3rd and 4th floor - all much the same I think. Internet is free - works ok so we have been very happy! The restaurant is quite reasonable too and mid priced....meals are good. Nothing bad to say......The staff have been wonderful.”
