Until I arrived at Amani Gardens, I had not idea it existed. Tucked in the Westlands neighbourhood it is close to the Westlands metropolis but still distant form the hustle and bustle. Rooms have no TV. There is a small library in the lounge next to the reception. If you have children , they will enjoy a jungle gym, swings...

Our first time and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Comfortable accommodations, beautiful setting and friendly service. The staff are personable and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The food was great. We would recommend it for a quiet getaway and for families to enjoy with their children.

We stayed here a week ago, and the service by staff was horrible. It seems terribly overpriced for what you get. For $60 USD I was placed in a tiny room with a sink, a single child size bed, no screen on the window and no fan or AC, and a shared toilet. At 8 PM all staff retire, so...

Amani Gardens is a small hotel in the centre of the city. It has beautiful grounds. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable. If booking a room with two people the first person pays $80 US and the second person is $40 US. Breakfast is included. For an additional cost you can add lunch and supper....

Perfect ambiance and salad. Try the Chicken sad with some 'strange name'. Its the perfect palce to have a meeting . There is also a play ground for little kids. The kenyan tea and coffee is also great at very reasonable prices.

I recommend Amani Gardern for expatriates and families who love to enjoy Nairobi stays. Very kind and super friendly staff. I use Amani since 2012 and my experiences are so far very nice. I wish Amani Gardern can continue to maintain the eco friendliness in the property.

My family has a lifetime of history staying at Amani Gardens anytime we needed to be in Nairobi. It has always been and still is an oasis of peace and beauty in the hectic clamor of the big city that is Nairobi.

I truly thank God for hiding Amani Gardens Inn as a safe haven for "His" people. I can't wait to come home, because Amani Gardens Inn will surely be my first stop by the Grace of God! Thank you for your hospitality!

I arrived late evening after a long flight and was shown to a room that had a lot of mosquitoes in it, despite there being a plug-in anti-bug device. No net was provided. The corners of the room and the floor weren't clean. The bedside shelf was coming away from the wall so I couldn't put water or clock on...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Amani Gardens Inn, formerly the Mennonite Guest House has a 50-year reputation of warm hospitality and quiet gardens. Located in Westlands, our guest house is situated conveniently close to major shopping malls, banking centers, and restaurants, yet the place still retains the feel of a retreat in the countryside with our old English-style buildings and ancient trees. You can spend the morning quietly reading under a 100-year old jacaranda tree, or hop in a taxi and be exploring down town a few minutes later. Amani means peace in Swahili which is a distinctive of the Mennonites. We hope you will find our gardens a peaceful oasis in the middle of a bustling city. Amani means peace in Kiswahili. Spacious gardens, friendly staff, and traditional American food bring our guests back again and again. Amani Gardens is under the Mennonite Board of East Africa. ... more   less
