We've visited Malu for well over 10 years and love the tranquility, the food, the friendly staff, and the cozy cottages. It's a fantastic place to go as a family with young kids. Sadly, the management seems to have done little to keep the place up. Floorboards are rotting, all of the soft furnishings are showing their age, even most...

We stayed at the Mahindu cottages over the May bank holiday weekend. Malu is in a beautiful area, and the grounds of the cottage were well-kept. Unfortunately, it rained a lot - but the cottage is so cosy and inviting that we did not feel hemmed in, The cottage is very well-equipped for self-catering, although we did pop up to...

We went for a weekend to this lodge in the middle of a park with wildlife (not seen) and also horses an mules. The cottages are confortable and when we returned from the restaurant they put on the fire place so it was cosy inside but also outside you could enjoy Naivasha Lake seen from the terrace. The lodge offers...

Very quiet and nice environment. Charming and authentic cottages, with open fire. On one morning, a dick-dick was grazing at 2 m of my cottage. Excellent food... Very helpful staff and management. During my stay, the electricity of the grid was off, so at times they had to put on the generator, which broke the silence of the place. This...

We visited the Mahindu cottages at Malu with another family for a weekend of total relaxation. Mahindu is right on the edge of a beautiful bubbling river. Total peace less than two hours from the choking chaos of Nairobi. We spent the weekend with another family and had a fantastic time. Lots of activities for all 4 little boys: hiking...

This place offers scenes that look like something out of a magazine, make sure you carry a camera, additional battery and external HardDisk. Trust me when I say that you'll take more pictures than you had initially expected. Ask Ishmael or any of the other staff to show you around (which they are always more than willing to make your...

Very Serene environment, perfect place to go and unwind especially the horse ride through the nature trail, just make sure you carry your insect replant (they could be a bit too much) go at dusk or dawn you just might catch a glimpse of the wildlife.

Visited with family between 26-29th of December 2015. Lodge is located on a large farm with beautiful views of Lake Naivasha to the south-east and heavily forested hills to the north of the property. There are plenty of activities for adults and kids alike, hiking, walking, jogging, riding (horse, donkey and bike!) among those we sampled. The highlight was the...

The cottages are large but cozy and very nicely done. It's a great place for walks and reading and sleeping, a nice weekend getaway from Nairobi. The staff were attentive and helpful and the food was good.
