My classmates & I stayed here for a few days while in Kenya for an International Social Work class. What a treat! The staff was so kind, the food they prepared for us was delicious, the views from the deck were amazing, and the house dog, Kaka, was so therapeutic at the end of a long day. Beds were comfy,... I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Kifaru Guest House. The setting, on a hill above an untouched forest, is lovely, the accommodations are very comfortable, and the food was excellent. Everyone was very kind to me. This was my first trip to Kenya and I'm glad that I stayed at Kifaru in Karen, than in Nairobi, which I would have... More

It was comfortable and had a personal, honey feel that was relaxing, rather than a generic, impersonal chain. Staff were super helpful before and during my visit. I think you can opt of self-catering, but I stayed half-board. Warm, homemade... More

I stayed in Kifaru House for 3 days in July. After a terrible night in a cold small tent at Wildebeest Lodge it was luxury. The house is situated in a lovely garden in Karen which is a quite suburb of Nairobi. It is homely and unpretentious and close to many attractions like Kazumi Beads and The Giraffe Centre. Run...
