We were the only guests during our visit so we had the entire place to ourselves. We were able to get massages and henna in the rooftop lounge area while chilling with a book, ocean breezes and great views of the water. Breakfasts were served at a relaxed pace and featured fresh fruit, tea, an omelete & toast. My friends...

Emailed these guys three months ahead of my stay telling them the flights and dates of my stay. They emailed back confirming my booking. I emailed again a few days before when my flight changed by a few hours. So what a surprise when I arrive in Lamu at around 5pm in the evening to be told that the people...

My friend and I stayed there for five nights before the peak season so it was pretty quiet. Airport transfer is included which was invaluable and the service at Kili is really friendly and accommodating. They were our first point of call for information on places to visit and things to do on Lamu - they even go out of...

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Booking was easy and Doshi even went as far as to advise us on the flights available from Nairobi. Nafti organised a great day trip in a dhow for us. Altogether everyone made us feel comfortable and welcome.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kilimanjaro. The hotel is very small which makes for an intimate experience. The owners are very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. It is certainly worth doing the 2 night trip out to one of the nearby islands on a local dhow. The hotel can help...

I loved the place and the people at Kili are very very hospitable i.e 250, Ken and Doshi. I felt very much at home. It is a really clean and affordable place to stay and you feel at home...

“We stayed in the rooftop apartment. I can really recommend that to have a chance to sleep outdoors, and experience the breeze and the sunrise. But if you are sensitive to sounds the rooftop terrace also comes with prayercalls from the mosques and the donkeys crying out their sorrow :)”
