This camp is a MUST! I've been to both the Amboseli and Mara camps and the Mara camp is the best! I loved it here so much. Every single one of the staff like Benna and Dan and Jeremy in housekeeping, they were all so wonderful!!! I believe I was greeted by Benna who showed me the camp grounds and Jeremy showed my to my tent #18. The camp is so beautiful and there's a tv lol. The food is so delicious! Every meal I have had here I enjoyed. The fire pit was so much fun as many of the guests would gather around with a drink or two while conversing about the animals we say and the events we participated in. It was so great. I stayed here for two nights and although the staff say you can walk to your room by yourself at night, I DON'T recommend it. My first night, after dinner around 8:30pm, I decided to walk to my room alone and not long after, I heard hyena howls nearby. i was so scared I ran to my room lol. The next morning, we were told there was a family of hyenas in the camp. So scary and thrilling and terrifying lol. The next night, I definitely had someone walk me to my tent. Around 3:15 in the morning, I awoke to a water buffalo grazing right next to my tent!! He was so close that his body was rubbing against my tent! Such a thrill! I was so frightened at first but nature at its rawest! The Maasai performed for us and I was so impressed! The tents were so comfy and had a great porch and view but after the hyena and water buffalo situation, I was too scared to sit out there lol. I had a queen sized bed, a desk and chair, a couch, there was so much furniture in the tent! It's so amazing how the tents are so lush and comfy and beautiful. I can go on and on and on about the beauty of this place. I can go on and on and on about the wonderful service from the staff. The food, the amenities, the views, the services, just top notch. I recommend this place 100%. You must stay here if you come to Maasai Mara!

I had a wonderful time at the Zebra Lodge. This was the first trip I did after the pandemic and was very concerned about it. The manager, Alfred, did a wonderful job at putting me at ease and the staff does indeed follow covid protocols. The room was comfortable and I had three wonderful games drives with stylish and good-humored David as my guide. The staff was very attentive and I particularly want to mention the care with which I was treated by Ruth, Moses and Ben. I will stay here again when back to the Mara.

If you want quality at a great price this is the place to go. Zebra Plains Mara Camp offers everything you can want in a safari. They cater for both photographers and non - photographers and nothing is too much trouble. The tents are spacious and very comfortable and equipped with just about everything you can want during your stay. The food is delicious and they cater for all tastes. Alfred and his team make you feel comfortable as soon as you arrive and continue to do so throughout your stay. The guides are amazing and very knowledgeable about the area and do everything possible to get you to where the action is. As photographers we have been there many times and will continue to do so for many years to come.
