We stayed at Oldarpoi Mara Camp for three days this November and had an incredible experience. The owners, Nelson and his wife and the camp crew took us on a safari where we discovered the maasai mara national park with a jeep all to our own, meters away from lions with cubs, elephants, rhino's and leopards. We went on a...

Friends in Nairobi heard about our last minute decision to drive into the Mara the next day and recommended I call Nelson. He was fantastic - making sure his team had dinner for us even when we arrived late at night! The staff were lovely - pulling out a couple of beers for weary travellers and looking after our driver...

Oldarpoi Camp is an incredible blend of safari experience - game drives as good as any! - and Maasai hospitality. Unlike most camps, it is owned and operated by a progressive Maasai community, and profits go towards community projects like girls' education, employment training, etc. The couple who own it - Nelson and Maggie - are truly exceptional both as...

Oldarpoi Mara Camp is, in my opinion, the best place you could ever stay in the Maasai Mara. Here are some of the best things about my stay: * The staff are warm, welcoming, courteous, and friendly * The level of service is better than a 5 star resort! They will help you with anything you need * The landscape...

I've had the amazing opportunity to spend four full days at the Mara Camp. I was amazed by the hospitality of the Maasai. It was super easy to connect with the warriors. I enjoyed having great conversations under the Oldarpoi tree. Visiting one of the Maasai villages was definitely my personal favorite. I also learnt much about tourism's relevance for...

I spent four incredible days in one of the most beautiful places in Kenya. Meet the maasai warriors and be open to make new friends. Enjoy a homemade delicious food served with love and care. Listen to their stories and appreciate the nature. It is a extraordinary experience that you will carry in your heart forever.

Upon arrival at the Oldarpoi Mara Camp, we were welcomed with a cold glass of fresh fruit juice accompanied by a jovial dance by the morans (Maasai warriors). This immediately made me feel at home. From the delicious food, to learning about the Maa community and the wonder that is Mara, my stay was a wonderful experience. The bandas are...

My family calls me a "local tourist" I love traveling especially every quarter. I visited the Oldarpoi Mara Camp which is so lovely and serene and the hospitality top of the charts. Planning on heading back there this August with my 5 year old son for our family vacation (we would not want to miss the wildebeest migration besides I...

Oldarpoi camp is a beatiful place, a perfect combination of rustic and 5-star service on top of a hill in the Maasai Mara. This is not your typical corporate place: the camp supports the local Maasai community with education scholarships and comminity resources such as a local training centre. This means your tourism leaves a lasting and positive legacy on...
