It's hard to capture this amazing experience with words. My husband and I left Oldarpoi a month ago and are still at a loss for how to describe it. It was exactly what we were looking for, actually even better, beyond what we could have imagined. Nelson and his staff went above and beyond for us. The boys who work...

My boyfriend, Dan and i stayed in February 14th 2012 for 3 nights. I couldn't not wish for a better Valentine place. We arrived in the afternoon and we walked to visit the Masai village. The people were friendly. I really liked the fact that the funds from the camp as well as the one you pay to visit the...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in March 2012 and had a lovely, lovely time! We wanted to go on a safari, but wanted to find an operator that was local and helped the local community. Nelson's camp fit the bill. Not only did we get to go on an amazing safari and stay in comfortable accommodations,...

Due to unforeseen issues (my own fault entirely), I was unable to stay at Oldarpoi Maasai Safari Camp. Despite the fact that I contacted the owner, Nelson, less than two days before my scheduled arrival to let him know that I wouldn't be able to make it, he immediately suggested that he would like to refund my payment. This, despite...

We stayed 5 nights at the Oldarpoi Camp. It was an absolutely amazing experience! Even the basic accommodations felt like luxury with excellent traditional food, amazing, caring and dedicated staff who were attentive to anything we needed, and most importantly, the owner, Nelson, as our guide who truly knew exactly where and when to go to see every big game...

We are a couple from Sweden and we stayed in Oldarpoi Camp for 8 nights in Jan 2012. We were welcomed with such friendliness that we have never experienced elsewhere before. The staff took the effort to learn our names and the service felt very personalised. They are genuinely nice people and we felt very sad when it was time...

We are a Swedish family with two children 7 and 10 years of age. We spent four nights and five days at Oldarpoi and loved it! Nature and wildlife in the Masai Mara is fantastic and Oldarpoi provides guides with great knowledge and great commitment giving the visitors a complete experience. We were completely overwhelmed by the animal scenes that...

My husband and I traveled to Kenya between 10/1/11 - 10/10/11. We stayed at Oldarpoi for two nights after staying at another more commercial Maasai camp for 3 nights. I must say that Oldarpoi is a much more authentic experience than we had experienced at the other camp. Nelson was very friendly and educated us on some of the ongoing...

The other reviews got me there; Nelson and his staff made me grateful I went. From the moment I arrived and was greeted as an old friend until the moment I left as a true friend, there was no down side. The animals in the Masai Mara were of course splendid. But all else made it truly wonderful. Meals? Great....

The manager Nelson is very attentive, organized and relaxed. We were greeted on arrival by all of the staff, including Isaac in his white chef's hat and jacket who produced a three course meal as good as anything I have eaten in Africa. Over the next few days we were impressed with how rapidly Willy, Samuel, David and the others...
