My wife and I are wrapping up a six day stay at Cottars. It is our first visit to Africa, and our first safari, and I cannot overstate how much we enjoyed ourselves. Anyone considering a safari should start their search at Cottars. We are here to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We are not strangers to luxury travel or to...

It's hard to put into words what a fantastic Safari experience we have just had, at the amazing Cottars Camp in the Maasai Mara. We were overwhelmed with the fabulous hospitality we received; the location of the camp (nestled in the foothills of the Mara) and the amazing wildlife that our excellent guides led us to see. Having stayed at...

We had a family tent, a tented suite with 1 king and 2 single beds, 2 bathrooms, superbly decorated and comfortable. The main lodge is equally beautiful and as seen on photos. Service is top notch, food was good, and activities for kids well organized. The wildlife in the concession in October was unreal - migration and all predators seen....

We stayed for 3 nights in late September and we loved every minute of it. Mako was our guide and he is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We felt at home. I was there with my son aged 12. We had a wonderful time - great food, great guiding and atmospheric lodge. We really enjoyed the game drives, the staff and the food. The animal viewing was very good as well, make sure you go for the morning hike, it's spectacular.

Go there and you never forget the blend of luxury, campsite charm and the wild. Staff are great and Drivers full of local knowledge and animal wisdom . Meal times present the opportunity to parlay with fellow Travellers and recount the close encounters with leopard, lion and the endless restless sea of wilder beast
