We stayed at the Voyager over the Easter period from 29th March to 5th April and booked through Thomas Cook. The hotel was decorated so beautifully it was so touching and brought a tear to the eye. The decor included “Happy Easter” signs and cages of bunnies and chicks as well as traditional Easter goats outside at the gala meal... More

We have just returned from two weeks at the Voyager -- OK, so not a swish 4* hotel -the rooms do need need updating they are a litlle old fashioned. What one must keep remembering is, this is a 3rd world country - Kenya has many problems and we must take this into consideration when we holiday there- this hotel... More

This was our fist trip to Kenya so didnt know what to expect. Lost the first day of the holiday due to the ash cloud, but was good to get away. The hotel was always clean with the rooms being cleaned daily, with fresh bottled water each day. Food was all good with a different variation each day. The staff... More

We, a family with two teenage daughters (14 and 16), all loved our stay at the Voyager Beach Resort (3-17 April). Pre children we spent 5 weeks travelling through Africa so it was lovely to come back as a family. This is our 7th AI holiday and we rate it as one of our best holidays. Hotel Hotel clean, spacious... More

Long review I'm afraid!! Have tried to stay impartial but my job and background in the industry makes me a harsh critic with high standards. Booked through First Choice and lost first day due to Volcanic Ash but were glad to get on holiday with so many people being stranded and cancelled! Flight was good with Thomson but I would... More

I've been to Mombasa a few times but in other hotels, and we stopped in here one afternoon for lunch. The entrance and views are spectacular, so we decided to give it a try for our next stay... we were very excited over this, but within the first day, we were sorely let down. I was there for over a... More

I have read some of the negative reviews and wonder if they stayed at the same place that we did! We all loved the Voyager. The warmth of the welcome was really outstanding, and everyone in the hotel was so friendly - from the housekeepers to the gardners to the restaurant staff. The food was great and varied somewhat as... More

We arrived in Kenya on 30th March, not really knowing what to expect. The drive from the airport was quite an eyeopener, however we arrived at the Voyager and was pleasantly surprised. The check in was really smooth even though around 80 people arrived at once, and it wasn't long before we were in our rooms. The room was very... More

We returned on Tuesday from a week in Kenya. We booked through Thomson who were very good. The reps were amazing and so helpful and knowledgable!! The only thing was that our holiday was cut short due to the volanc ash and so we were delayed by 1 day going out, we thought it would impact our holiday as we... More

I wrote a review on the Voyager 3 years ago, and the same review would cover this holiday too; it is still wonderful! Great place, fabulous staff, beautiful loction, lovely food, loads of activities and gorgeous weather. We were 'stranded' in Mombasa for an extra 8 days due to the volcanic ash, and though we were all ready to come... More
