This hotel has a wonderful kitchen/dining room and a pizza oven. Within walking distance of the old fort, endless banks in the neighbourhood and a funky style that made it a pleasure to revisit. No elevator. All the rooms are upstairs. A large patio deck area with tables, chairs and covered sitting . Extremely affordable and user friendly, great staff,...

We stayed in Mombasa, Kenya for 4 days from 9 to 13 Nov 2016 in New Palm Tree Hotel, which is located on Nkruma Road in the heart of city, very close to Fort Jesus and many other historical landmarks. The room rent was 38$ per night including free breakfast. It was the most reasonable place to live in Mombasa.

I spent a night in this hotel when I made a trip down from Malindi, where I was visiting. Although the hotel is clean, it is badly in need of refurbishment. The AC worked, but it is old and noisy. The fridge never worked, neither did the instant shower water heater. The staff were not unfriendly, but were disengaged and...

I came here to spend one night and am happy it isn't more. The hotel is clean and the staff exceptionally friendly. However, it is quite loud not just the noise outside but also within the hotel. I couldn't regulate the a/c so I switched it on and off during the night and was either cold or hot. As a...

I've stayed here before so I knew what to expect. The place is a little run down, not the greatest mattress, but the room was clean and the breakfast satisfactory. It is in a great location in the central business district of Mombasa a block or so away from Fort Jesus. There are a couple new restaurants in the lobby...

Was very impressed at how well this place turned out to be. It is in the centre of the Mombasa island and very accessible to all major touristic centres. We enjoyed so many great activities without having to travel far from the hotel, sometimes just talking to the site. The facility is getting old and the equipment outdated but it...

Cheap, clean and in a good location. A rehab is needed as the hotel looks dark and old fashion. Do not good if you want a full comforts room. The owners are nice and very polite. They accepted to keep our luggage one day more.

we are pleased for you having us at your service and would love to accomodate again when at mombasa over your next visit.

Money for value. The hotel is quite old and basic but the rooms are clean and the service nice. Self contained rooms and working a/c. Nice big terrace. Near to the fort and old city. Good place for one night stop on the way to the north cost.
