It was close to the subway which was nice and the bakery everyone raves about does live up to the great reviews. The carpet in our room looked liked it had just been replaced but carpet in hallways are quite worn. Beds were extremely hard and my partner arranged for housekeeping to bring up a duvet so I could put...

I stayed here with my partner in a twin room (which is another matter) and the bathroom was not very private. There is a glass wall for the shower and toilet which has a few frosted horizontal stripes on it. Everytime we used the toilet we could clearly see each other. I have no idea why this was done and...

This was the end point to our Vodkatrain tour and it did not disappoint. The location is perfect. The street it is located on is full of food places and street sellers making it perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (They have an amazing bakery 2 minutes from the hotel as well as an ATM) a convenience store is pretty...

This was the last part of the vodkatrain journey across the Trans-siberian. Huguosi hotel is very cosy and warm. The location is great as you are near the underground with lines 4 and 6 running from Ping anli. The showers are definitely a huge welcome and are very hot! Western toilets too! Only downside is the wifi is very glitchy...

We stayed here at the end of our Vodka Train tour and it was one of the nicer places we stayed in during the trip. The lobby is lovely. It's really bright and there are loads of birds tweeting in cages and little crickets there too. All lovely on check-in, not so lovely the morning after a few drinks! The...

Our 'Vodka train' trans-Siberian tour started from this hotel and we weren't disappointed. The hotel my husband and I had stayed in over the 4 days prior to this in Beijing (the Jade Hotel) was far dirtier and more smoke-filled than this one, so it was a pleasant change. The rooms were cleaned well, beds were comfortable and it is...

This hotel is in a interesting neighborhood, its not far from Beijing West train station(about a 25RMB taxi ride), or the metro (about a 10min walk). Plenty of affordable restaurants that are open late, and a new interesting micro brewery (NBeer...Google it). Affordable price, serviceable rooms.

The hotel was recommended by a friend who had stayed here a number of times before. It is located in the Huguosi Hutong which gives one a sense of the old Beijing which is rapidly disappearing. That being said, rooms on the street side can be noisy but you are in a hutong so soak up the atmosphere! (The inside...

This was the first hotel me and my girlfriend went too last year when we travelled to China for 3 weeks. Even though the staff of the hotel spoke barely English, the service was good, the rooms were clean, the people were very friendly and the hotel was nicely centered. There was a nice bakery just around the corner of...

Rooms are small but functional. For the price I paid I have no complains, the room came with flat screen TV, air con, water boiler and coffee maker as well. Other then the towels, canister body wash, shampoo and chinese tea, the rest are chargeable which is fine as some other similar establishment will even charge you for the towels...
