If you are travelling to Beijing as a tourist then this hotel comes highly recommended. It is a converted 'Courtyard' residence in one of Beijing's hutong districts with a real feeling of authenticity, but converted to give you modern amenities such as a decent private bathroom, TV and so on. You can tell that this is a special place because...

Fantastic location 1 min walk from the hustle and bustle of Nanluoguxiang, and 10 mins from the bars and restaurants of Houhai. The hotel itself is a charming small scale courtyard residence and a haven of peace and quiet despite its proximity to the above. The staff are unfailingly helpful and charming, and the rooms delightful. I've been coming to...

The staff are amazing and very helpful! The rooms are very nice and the courtyard is a quiet little oasis. The only issue was the wifi went in and out and never ended up being able to get it to work properly.

This is located just off the super busy and not very attractive hutong absolutely thronged with Chinese tourists and trendy shops. Yet it's really quiet and peaceful. Room are quite small and cramped if you have any quantity of luggage but attractively furnished with lovely spacious bathrooms. We stayed 2 days and the hotel arranged out hotel pick up and...

Lovely little old style hotel, quaint rooms, very charming and yet very clean and modern in their interior renovations. The staff were incredibly helpful. It's located right off a hutong which has really nice restaurants, bars and lovely shops. Definitely recommend staying here.

Traditional courtyard setting well placed just off a busy Hutong Street. Our room was quite small but had everything we needed including an incredibly comfortable bed and good shower. Staff were extremely attentive and breakfast options were good. Good access to the Metro (which was easy to use). If we returned to Beijing we would stay here again.

It was our family's first stop in China. Can't imagine better start to our holiday. Fairly basic but clean, beautifully set with good service and taste of old traditional Chinese architecture, this hotel has set our adventure in a great way. Children have enjoyed the spacious room as well as the few courtyards where they could play and run around....

This is a really lovely little hotel. Tucked away down Qiangulouyuan Hutong in the heart of old Beijing, Courtyard 7 is a welcoming and relaxing place to stay. The rooms are not large, but are well appointed with antique furniture, comfortable beds and very good shower rooms. They are all in one story buildings arranged in charming traditional style around...

Courtyard (hutong) lodgings are the best way to experience Beijing. It puts you in vibrant neighborhoods, close enough to the main sights to walk. Courtyard 7 is lovely, reasonably comfortable and well-maintained. It is off the main road and generally inaccessible by car, so do print out the name and location in Chinese for the taxi driver and also for...

Sure, you can stay at a large corporate chain or at a good, mid price, western style hotel in the center of the city, but why? If you have traveled all the way to Beijing for your ultimate China vacation, treat yourself to a bit of old-style Chinese authenticity. You should stay at Courtyard-7 and experience life in a hutong....
