Something everyone wants to do, visit and climb the Great Wall of China. High up in the mountains that require special bus and a cable car to lift you to stairs. Amazing how they built it so removed and high up. The stairs are steep and one must take their time. The view from the top is beautiful and you...

The history that has gone into the making of this Wall is phenomenal, there's so much involved. You can take a walk up as far as you want and see a different view each time. There are steps all the way.

This trip was one of the most amazing trips I have ever had this wall is huge and represent how the royal kingdom that time was very rich in Human Resources to build such an amazing very long great tower like that before China was divided into a lot of villages and every one surrounded her self by a tower...

For me it is a wonderful experience. Walking into one of the greatest structure on earth makes me appreciate more the construction industry. It is by hand this structure was built to protect peoples life. I would like to spend more time here the next time I would visit Beijing.

What an amazing and historical place...after getting to the actual wall I was amazed at the precision of the whole thing. How, is the big question, did they do this...6,000 kms long with no real engineering guidance....it is breathtaking...We had our own local guide who ws very knowledgeable and happy to answer all questions.. My advice would be to do...

A must see on a China holiday. A steep but accessible climb gives you a first hand experience of one if the wonders of the modern world. Busy with many friendly Chinese families who wanted to take our photographs but were fun to join on the climb up. You need about 2-3 hours to climb up to a tower that...

If you can, avoid it in july. It will be too hot and busy. Investigate getting out Beijing to find quieter spot. Where you can enjoy the scenery, marvel at the thought behind the wall. To walk up the wall, not get too hot and sticky. Make sure your day trip doesn't force you to tip the driver and "guide"...

High expectations were exceeded beyond my imagination - the most incredible man-made creation I've seen in my life. Peaceful, quiet, spiritual and emotional - as well as great exercise and a social event. I went out of season with no crowds, it has to be the way to do it. Mobility is essential, steep and precarious in places though young...

Although we wee very late he made us some dinner and brought it to our appartment. In the next morning they brought us to the great wall early so...

I arrived there on a Saturday evening, to find out that I was the only guest (very cold). Communication was limited, but they cooked me some dinner (same price as in US). Accomodation was spacious and fairly vomfortable. I had opted for a balcony room and the view in the morning was nice. The room was equipped with a kitchen...
