This is a lovely Chinese traditional house turned into a small inn. Nicely and tastefully remodeled and decorated. Near subway station.
The nearby neighborhood is not the cleanest hutong, but this inn is very clean.

Thank you for your well-wishes. The staff was very resistant to helping me and kept telling me to "just forget it" and attempted to be difficult. A friend of mine actually came in person to help me move out and was utterly disgusted at their behavior towards both of us. Interestingly enough, when I requested the video the "manager" said the staff was busy exercising and then provided me a copy where part 1 of 5 feed videos worked. As infrequently as it may happen, it's not the first time from what I hear and it probably won't be the last until someone catches them red handed. I would not feel comfortable recommending such a place and my subsequent accommodation was cleaner, better, and didn't have staff theft. I wish you the best and hope it isn't too late for you to find a place that will treat you honorably rather than tempting fate that you don't experience theft here. I hope you find this helpful.
