We travel extensively and have stayed in luxury hotels in the USA, Europe, Asia etc. I never write reviews, however, I feel compelled to write one about our stay in the Peninsula, Beijing. We stayed in this hotel while it was under renovation (actually it was more like a construction site). While the rooms were comfortable, the noise level from...

Perfect in every way! The greatest highlight of our Asia tour. Definitely a huge upgrade of The Peninsula Shanghai. After our stay at Peninsula Beijing, The Peninsula Shanghai let us a little bit disappointed somehow. The Peninsula Beijing is brand new, better decorated and much more modern. The service at Peninsula Beijing was definitely impeccable and special. The room is...

Nice place to stay especially for its location. Within walking distance is the night market with various food stalls. We ate there for dinner on our first night in Beijing but did not feel as though the food was fresh, so we instead we found a noodle spot just across the street from the hotel, and we would frequently go...

In the past we always stayed in a loft room. Special and a great experience. This time it was a renovated executive suite which was just breathtaking. Fantastic interior design and also otherwise only compliments from A to Z. The chinese restaurant has not been renovated which is great because it always was and therefore still is a beauty which...

This is a truly lovely property with newly renovated rooms of sheer luxury! It's a great location with plenty within walking distance if you can bare to tear yourself away from your living quarters which include a living room, bedroom, dressing room and sumptuous bathroom. Chef's chocolate treats each night were very welcome! Beware the minibar as China has a...

During my visit the Peninsula was under renovation, still stayed in on of the old rooms, which makes clear why the renovation was needed. In General a good Hotel, after the renovation is finished. Good for visiting the city, either business or pleasure.

Perhaps the most personal service in the world with a staff ratio of over two per the 230 rooms. The newly renovated rooms (still in process) are made up of a minimum of two of the original rooms with luxurious beds, Frette linens, independent dressing rooms, baths made up of colossal slabs of marble--a new world standard. What makes the...

Recently spent a few days at the newly renovated Peninsula Hotel in Beijing. The location is perfect, only a short walk from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, whilst extensive shopping and dining options are right outside the front door. The renovations are still ongoing, something the hotel made clear when we made the booking, but unless you intend to...

This hotel is amazing. The minute we arrived home, the driver had picked us up to go to the hotel. He called them before we arrived and the receptionist was there to bring us in and also show us to the room immediately. Bad news - they have no nice lounge area to wait for your guests because they have...

We stayed ther for a couple of days recently. The renovation is amazing: everything looks really modern but with classic luxury at the same time. The rooms are a lot bigger, with many amenities and everything electronically controled. Service has the same quality as ever, the Peninsula quality recognizable everywhere. Two things were not as goos as expected: there was...
