What a wonderful setting to enjoy the beauty of Chinese nature. The private section of the wall is an amazing feature and totally worth the trip from Beijing. There are also some other walking paths where you can see farm animals and enjoy the mountains

the walk is approximately 20 minutes. It's a bit steep but quite ok, you can do it at your own pace. I have a bad back and asthma problems so I did it in maybe 1/2 hour. My teenagers ran all the way up in no time. And... More
the walk is approximately 20 minutes. It's a bit steep but quite ok, you can do it at your own pace. I have a bad back and asthma problems so I did it in maybe 1/2 hour. My teenagers ran all the way up in no time. And the view at the top is worth every step if the weather is clear. Bring water bottle and you should be ok. Really that's the hotel selling point so if you stay there, you really have to take the walk ;-)
