I stayed at this hotel at the start of November 2016. The hotel itself is not new but is clean and tidy. My room was very clean and the WiFi was surprisingly good. I had read some of the bad reviews before traveling there so I was a bit worried, so I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly. It... More

Many-terrible-things. Rooms are old, worn and moldy. Unprofessional service, they even don't know the black mold is extremely dangerous to humans. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are far away from quality. A disappointing hotel in a very good location, it is profaned the honor of the architecture.

This hotel has a great location. That's all! Really! The rooms are old, and worn. To get to your room you have to walk a labyrinth. The service is mediocre. Breakfast far away from quality. I didnt get the chance to see the Beauty Health Center Spa A (there is also B)...

Note: Hard to find ATMs that take international bank cards in this area. We had a decent room with a view of Fragrant Hill. The public area often smelled like cigarette smoke. Room is ok. Neither great nor horrible. Hotel restaurant food is ok, but overpriced. One perk: Can enter the Fragrant Hill Park repeatedly for free if you show... More

The food and services were excellent, we stayed for an world economics forum at this place. After that conference we were able to hike up to the pagoda and see the Night Beijing. Great location, also we had some leisure: karaoke, good food, backyard with fountain. It was very nice

The location of this hotel is excellent - particularly for my business reasons - as it is close to the fragrant gardens which are lovely. From the lobby the hotel is impressive - but that is where the suppoused 5 star quality ends. As most people have said the level of English at reception is limited - but then my... More

Stayed here for 4 nights while attending a workshop at the same hotel. The room I stayed in was fairly large and well equipped with most amenities. Had some problem during check in due to language problems as the staff at the reception don't or speak very little English, reception wanted RMB3,000 as deposit but a phone call to my... More

The lobby was huge and elegant as seen in many Chinese hotels. Our room was very satisfactory, but perhaps we didn't get (or pay for) one of their 4 star rooms. The TV was old style, the hallway carpet had some kind of covering. The bathroom had water damage to the ceiling and the soap holders in the tub/shower were... More

I have been here in occasion of a scientific congress. The hotel is wonderful, in a beautiful location, quite easy to reach by public transportation or taxi (if you are able to catch one in Beijing :=)). Cleaning is very good and rooms are wide. The hotel staff is very very gentle. The only problems with this hotel is that... More

Did a quick day trip from Beijing, took an hour by car from down town due to traffic but worth it. In Autumn with the leaves turning this would be a spectacular place, but at any time of year it is a beautiful place to walk around. Quite a few historic buildings including an old residence of Chairman Mao's, there... More
