The hotel is very near the city center and the metro station. It consists of 3 towers. The rooms are suite-types, very nice and comfortable. There is some problem with the communication between the Towers, as the breakfast is served in Tower C. The breakfast consists mostly of chinese delicases. Its price is very good, internationally speaking, compared to the... More

This is a curate's egg of a hotel. There are plus points. My suite was large, comfortable, well laid out, clean and quiet. The standard of housekeeping was very good on the whole. The staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful. The minus points I think outweighed the plus points. Hardly any of the staff spoke more than... More

By the end of my three-day stay, I had learned to enjoy the China People’s Palace Hotel which, I am reliably informed, in Chinese is actually, ‘the People’s Home’. I was nervous about staying here because of the bad reviews I read on this site. I write this to set the record straight and better inform would-be guests. First the... More

The hotel has magnificent projection with building divided in A, B and C. The lobby / reception is average but friendly. the rooms in A wing are large and decently equipped. The language is a problem outside the hotel so carry the hotel address in local language. The underground station is nearby and starts operating at about 5.30 to 6... More

Very disappointed after staying in this hotel for a month. There are cockroaches in my room and in the lobby. The hotel front desk staff are painfully slow. I got up at 5 am in the morning to check out, and waited nearly 1 hour to get the room deposit back, in the end, they told me they can not... More

Large very comfortable room, quality bed, very nice bathroom. But, the breakfast is not up to par. Coffee is not drinkable (a waitress poured it a second time through the same filter and coffee!), nithing worth being called bread, items of questionable freshness. Definitely not what the very nice room was promising.

I booked this hotel via ctrip and pre-paid. However, it took me more than twenty minutes to finish check-in process. I was upgraded to a junior suite which is spacious but decorated like a four-star resort, though the bed was comfortable. The breakfast is quite Chinese style and for westen visitors do not expect too much choices familiar. BTW, the... More

stayed here during a graduate school class trip and was pleasantly surprised with how clean and big the rooms are. There is also a giant buffet breakfast every morning that serves both American dishes and Chinese dishes. The hotel is very close to a popular shopping street and lots of restaurants, and I felt like it was a very safe... More

The hotel facilities and the location are good (subway stop is just two blocks away) and the three towers composing the hotel make it large enough to never feel crowded. The service, in contrast, is below mediocre. It was a very hard to find someone among the staff that can communicate in english and the service the cafe in tower... More

We stayed in tower B and had 2 rooms on a relatively high floor. There was some noise which I couldn't quite work out. It may have been wind noise, nevertheless, it didn't interfere with my sleep. The beds are hard, which I like, however, if you prefer a softer mattress you may find these uncomfortable. The decor in the... More
