Clean rooms, a little dated and in need of sprucing up. Good location in terms of proximity to Temple of Heaven and Pearl Market. Not very close to the subway lines, but taxis are cheap in Beijing! A/C functioned adequately enough and although the wifi was slow, we had no issues with access. Very good breakfast, with some interesting choices...

Mentally located The Rainbow is typical of the style of buildings in Beijing. It is HUGE. The rooms are well appointed if a bit antiquated and we had some trouble with the heating/air-conditioning as well as the WiFi but all in all a good day with some excellent food. Very helpful staff. The WiFi is a problem throughout China so...

Having read some poor reviews for this hotel, I wasnt sure what to expect, but from onset this hotel was clean, safe & comfortable! Beautifully decorated with spacious rooms. Stayed as part of a tour group. There was a good choice for breakfast & Peking Duck welcone dinner was nice. Only negative would be lack of wifi in the bedrooms,...

Stayed here for three nights as part of a group tour to China. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was mixed Eastern and European but was adequate. Like other hotels we stayed in, limited and weak wifi only in communal areas. Was fine for us and for a group, but would look for somewhere better if travelling as a couple.

Spent few nights there a few days apart, (did Great Wall trek and Xi'an extension for charity). Fabulous food, great rooms, wonderful staff, excellent service. ATM in situ. Equipment left there safely whilst on trek, easy to reclaim when needed. Rooms cleaned daily. Wonderful reception and restaurant. Great choice of food and drinks, only had breakfast, but fantastic anyway.

We have spent here our first 4 nights of our more than 2 weeks trip to China. The hotel was as expected from the picture that you can see on tripadvisor. We were with a group from a travel agency so we had the bus to take us to the city center, but wasn't so far away. The room was...

I stayed for at this hotel for three nights after arriving from the U.S. The hotel itself is very nice and clean unfortunately the AC in my room was not working. During my last night the hotel staff switched my room and I had very good sleep. I ate at the hotel and found the food to be delicious. Overall...

We stayed here as part of a big group after our 5 day hike on The Great Wall. It seemed luxury compared to what we had been used to over the last few days. The room was big and clean. The beds were very hard though. The food was ok, had breakfast buffet and evening meal as part of our...

Enjoyed our few days at Rainbow Hotel as part of a group tour. While we wouldn't have chosen the hotel ourselves, it was a great location to walk to Temple of Heaven (about 20 minutes) and experience some local restaurants/nightlife.

Last year had stayed at this hotel and found very convenient and comfortable. This year two weeks back went there by booking the hotel on web portal and thought better rates. But the single occupancy rooms were big farce. Mattress on the floor. No chairs in the room, No baggage stand and even the Bathroom is dinghy. For even minor...
