Located right near many of the touristy places (e.g. Tienanmen Square, Emperor's Palace). Really nice breakfast with lots of Chinese choices. Simple local restaurants across the street to eat with the locals. Staff is helpful but limited English. Rooms are clear, and include coffee (not tea only). The fixtures are somewhat older and not the latest model faucet, tub, lights....

When travelling back to Montreal (Canada) from Taiwan I transited through Beijing and decided to stay there for a few days in early April 2017. My travel agent had proposed a series of hotels and I picked the Jade Garden for it's location. Ultimately, the choice was a good one. As others have suggested, it was a very good idea...

Nice hotel Great location - not far from forbidden city and jingshan park. A couple of minutes to get to the centre with the shopping centres and restaurants Breakfast is good value for money and you get both western and Asian. Worked out about £6 ish per person each day. The hotel is in a perfect location near to the forbidden city, Tiananmen square, the city centre and many other sites. The hotel itself, although slightly older in design (refurbed in 2004) is very clean and tidy with lots of character and a good bathroom and bed. Breakfast was great and reasonbly priced approx £5 each day if not booked...

Good basic hotel - the founding fathers and their families of the present Communist Party used this place as their Head Quarter when they entered Beijing in 1949. You are able to see their pictures hanging along the corridor inside the hotel. It was actually built upon the the foundation of the old Ming Palace Eastern Wall Gate. A good...

This hotel has an authentic Chinese architecture charm, great location - 10 min walk to forbidden city, 10 min walk to Wangfungjing st. It is nice and clean with quality service and good breakfast buffet selection. There is an ATM, tour spot and Chinese newspapers in English in the lobby. There is an elevator in the building. A good place...

It has good rooms, it's clean, and the breakfast was some of the better stuff we had in Beijing. The front reception was nice and helpful. They can communicate in English. Beds we OK but not great, rooms were OK, but dated. I would stay here again. 10 minute walk to the Temple.

Hotel is certainly a little jaded, however the location cannot be beaten - a 10 minute walk to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City makes it probably one of the best located for the traveller with only 48 hoursor so in Beijing. For a westerners first experience of Chinese Breakfasts the choices were a little strange, but quite filling once...

Happy with the staff. Most speak English and that was a very big plus. It is also nearby Wang Fu Jing Street, which is "Snack Street." It's pretty awesome at night when the lanterns are lit up. The buffet was great too!
