The location of this hotel was excellent. Our family of 4 enjoyed the quiet spacious room with fantastic marble heated floor bathroom and Japanese style toilet. Beds are hard, but pillows and covers are down and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, but the staff a little on the slow side (i.e. I asked for half coffee/half milk and that took 15 min to get one morning). Our kids enjoyed the pool that was not crowded at all. You do need to have a swimming cap that you can either purchase or borrow. The location of the hotel is excellent if you want to walk to the Forbidden city and it is close to the shopping center and numerous restaurants (including excellent Peking duck restaurant). It is approximately 30 min ride to/from the airport by taxi that costs ~100-150 CNY. It is also not too far from a metro station. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel for the Beijing visit.

For our money you simply can’t beat the Waldorf, Beijing. We love staying here as the service and cleanliness are second to none. The Michelin starred Chinese restaurant is amazing with innovative ingredient matching chiming with authentic ties. We love the fact that as a family of four, the Waldorf allows us to stay together in one room with two double beds. The modern decor provides relief from the cross-China fascination with dark brown wooden furniture. Peacock Alley delights with the cocktail menu and bar food that the kids always enjoy especially food that they recognize from the West! Matthew was very helpful attending to all our needs and it was warming to find an English accent buried deep in Beijing instead of battling with our poor Chinese and translation apps!!

This Waldorf is beautiful! As you enter from the front entrance, you are greeted by the two doormen. The lights are dimmed to ensure the guests feel warm and cozy. Since it’s a Waldorf, they do not have a club lounge on the property. Thankfully, most staff are well trained in order to make all guests feel comfortable. At Check-in, I was offered a complimentary upgrade to their Premier Corner studio as a Hilton Diamond member. Even though it’s not a suite, it felt just like a suite with a long corridor/hallway as well as an enormous bathroom. I had breakfast at their breakfast restaurant. I am personally not a big fan of buffet, thankfully, they had this made-to-order station with a wide spread of breakfast selection and Eggs Benedict was one of those. I went ahead with the order and it was then prepared a few minutes later. Do note the restaurant fills up quickly so it’s a good idea to have an earlier breakfast. After breakfast, I then joined a few good friends of mine to take a tour at the Forbidden City. It turned out the forbidden city was only approximately 20 minutes of walk away, and that was manageable despite of the cold weather. Overall, this property is at a good touristy location and it’s still in good shape. With the services they provided, I think that was probably some of the better places you could find while you’re in Beijing. Will I stay at this Waldorf again? I probably will!

After cancelling our Sanya and Shanghai Xmas/NY trips, me and my husband decided to book a 2 nights stay in Waldorf Beijing's amazing Hutong suite.

One of the most unique experiences in Beijing, Waldorf's Hutong are separate from the hotel with their own private access above ground or via a private tunnel connecting the Hutongs to the main building.

Upon our arrival we were welcome so warmly by the Front Desk and the hotel had prepared a lovely welcome amenity for us. Upon entering the Courtyard, it was like being transported back in time to old Beijing and you were in your own world.

In the East Courtyard where we were, there were three Hutong Suites on the ground floor and one on the second floor. We were in Hutong 3 which I would highly recommend as there is no one above you. Upon entering the Hutong, your breath is taken away with the details they have included to keep the authenticity. Apart from the architectural Beijing design of the Hutong, the quality you would expect from a Waldorf is all there including a bath tub that comfortably fits 2 people and their world famous comfortable bed and bathrobes.

Our staycation package included Spa each day and this is quite simply one of the best Spas in Beijing. We tried two of their newest products, the Himalayan Salt massage and Rainbow Oils, which you could choose based upon your needs. Our two therapists were so warm, yet so professional and good at what they did. As locals in Beijing, we will certainly return to just use the Spa!

We also had breakfast included in our package so were able to enjoy the breakfast in the Hutong through room service. The delivery and quality of food was exquisite and we certainly did not go hungry. It was very relaxing each morning to enjoy breakfast in the Hutong.

As a Diamond member, we also received drink vouchers for Peacock Alley and on our last evening we enjoy and evening of drink and food with great service and delicious comfort food. The Wagyu burger we would certainly recommend along with their unique take on the Waldorf Salad which includes duck and their signature cocktails are made really well with premium ingredients by their talented bar staff.

Overall, we would highly recommend the Waldorf Astoria Beijing for any kind of stay, but especially the Hutongs for such a unique Beijing stay experience. You really do feel like you are not in modern Beijing, but living through one of their famous historical dynasties. To top off, the crown jewel for the hotel is their amazing team where nothing is too much trouble and they deliver true luxury service with warmth.

We cannot wait to return again for another stay of unparalleled relaxation and pampering!

The wifi is not working The speed of the internet is like 1998. If you plan to work or send an email choose another hotel. Called to complain but so far no help or solution. Booked a guided tour through the concierge to the forbidden city paid 1550 for 1.5 hour tour in terrible english. Breakfast is overcrowded and ended up sitting in too soft lounge chair in the bar area - not very comfy for a breakfast meal and was served wrong dishes or just completely overlooked. The selection was not very good. The bread was good though.

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at what we believe to be the best hotel in Beijing. My husband and I were celebrating our 9th year wedding anniversary and decided on a staycation to unwind and celebrate.

All the staff, from Front of House to concierge and bar/restaurant were welcoming and accommodating. Lilian of guest services and experience was especially good and arranged a number of awesome treats and guest perks.

We were immediately upgraded on arrival and were treated to complimentary cocktails and a beautiful turn down service, which included a spread of chocolate covered strawberries, cake, exotic fruits, and a rose petal filled bubble bath!

Dining is top-notch and cocktails are made with skill and care. We spent time in the spa area which was extremely relaxing, with ambient lighting and attentive staff. Towels and dressing gowns were luxurious and the bed has to be one of the best we have had the pleasure of sleeping in.

We booked through front of house manager, Katherine, who although was not on duty during our stay, kept in contact with us and the staff at the hotel to ensure we had everything we needed and that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Exceptional service.

Everyone made our celebration extremely memorable and we look forward to staying again in the near future.

My husband and I had a wonderful and memorable stay at Waldorf Astoria Beijing celebrating my birthday! Upon checkin, we were upgraded to a beautiful suite decorated with colorful balloons all around. There were a signature red velvet cake, as well as a basketful of fresh fruit prepared especially for us. What a huge surprise to us! During our stay, we had also enjoyed delicious meals at the restaurants . The breakfast buffet at Brasserie was so delicious with great variety. The Egg Benedict is especially great ! Our dinner at Zijin Mansion was also beyond our expectations! The staff at both restaurants provided us with excellent service. The location can’t be better for sightseeing in Beijing. Our Special thanks go to Blanche, who went extra mile to provide us the best service and made my birthday stay at Waldorf Astoria Beijing indeed a very special and memorable one!

It was a first time stay with Hilton top tier hotel and while I read good reviews about the hotel and there were also bad ones so was really anticipating how my stay would be.

Waldorf Astoria Beijing lived up to great expectations and from the moment I alighted from the airport transfer, I was well taken care off till I got checked in to my room.

Since it was Christmas, the atmosphere was really festive and warmth while I was blazing in a -7 degrees cold winter but my heart was filled with warmth for sure. The room was well stocked with the amenities and given a Wangfujing view was great.

The breakfast at Brasserie restaurant was given lots of food choices to accommodate diversity of the guests. However, a minor episode happened when I requested for teaspoon twice and the young waiter and waitress didn’t seem to understand what I need as I would typically assume if I was served tea and it should come with a teaspoon as a complete set. Probably, some retraining and English training required as they do not seemed to comprehend my ask. So I turned to the F&B manager who was connecting with rear of diners in English and I given my feedback and my ask, was resolved quickly and he continued to assure me that the staffs were given due training.

Overall, I was highly satisfied with my 4 nights stay. While I did made a feedback that since I booked a higher tier room, the complimentary cocktail and one time use of minbar should be reconsidered for the entire 4 nights stay to demonstrate value to hotel guests.

This is a business trip in Beijing, it’s not the first time stayed in this hotel, but always have surprise. The hotel is located in the center of the Beijing, very convenient with not many rooms, which means you have a enjoyable time for breakfast and diner everyday, the Chinese and French restaurants are both excellent with stars. Surely I will back if I travel in this area again.

From the moment we set foot on the property, the staff at the Waldorf Astoria in Beijing was incredible. They made us feel truly special, an essential aspect of staying at a luxury hotel. Their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond was clearly evident, especially when our only pair of shoes got soaked in the historic rains. Without hesitation, they took them and ensured they were dried, so we had dry shoes to wear. The hotels dedication enhanced our experience, and I can't recommend this hotel highly enough
