The best hotel I've ever stayed in! Went to Peking for one week in march and and stayed in cote cour hotel. Blown away by the kindness from all the people working there! The room were fresh and the breakfast was perfect. Stay here if you have the chance!

As we have been welcoming international customers for almost 10 years, we understand what our customers really need and always ready to assist them. Our lovely housekeeping...

My wife and I recently spent 5 nights at Cote Cour and loved it! Not your typical glamorous five star western hotel, this place may not be for everyone - don't stay here if you want overpriced in-room minibars, or expresso machines. Indeed the initial trip to the hotel through the surrounding hutongs can be a little unnerving, but the...

Dear Paul, Thank you very much for sharing this detailed review and for mentioning my name. We are very delighted you had an enjoyable time in Beijing. The hutong/alley area where we are located has survived over 500 years. Our property has been used as both rehearsal area and royal pharmacy during China's dynasty period. Hutongs are becoming more popular...

We loved our stay at Cote Cour. It was so nice to avoid the big chain hotels and stay in a historic part of Beijing with a great location. It is in Hutong but walkable to many shops and restaurants. We stayed in the family room with our 3 kids and it was beautifully decorated. The staff was incredible -...

Dear guest, Thank you very much for sharing this lovely review. We are very delighted you and your family enjoyed our hotel. And we are very pleased your daughter enjoyed her birthday dinner in our lovely made restaurant. Our restaurant has a good courtyard view and we serve very traditional but good quality Chinese dishes for dinner. Free western breakfast...

The manager Ye Qi was exceptionally friendly and helpful but after I left I found that I'd been charged in GBP at a very unfavourable exchange rate rather than CNY. I'm sure this was just atrick that was played by the bank butr when I asked the hotel to refund me and recharge in CNY, I got no reply. The...

Dear Mike, Thank you very much for sharing your comments. And thank you very much for mentioning my name. I really appreciate. We are very glad to know that you enjoyed most aspects of your stay. We have looked into your case, we actually charged you in Chinese yuan, our POS system does not offer the option for charging different...

A tranquil and lovely, small courtyard inn where you can sit out and have drinks or appetizers while watching the fish swimming in the pond. The hotel also has an upstairs restaurant overlooking views of Beijing with outdoor patio seating and blooming roses in the warm weather. Sited just a couple of blocks down an alley from the bustling, noisy...

This hotel is thoughtfully decorated, mixing modern and traditional pretty well. The hotel is surprisingly peaceful. Perhaps the best thing about the hotel are the staff though - the level of service was exceptional! Definitely recommend.

My normal travel style is to stay in a Hilton or Sheraton but thought i'd give this a go in an attempt to see an authentic Beijing. This was the beat decision we made. The rooms were spotless and provided everything you need, the free breakfast each morning was lovely and provided variety, the beds comfy and rooms peaceful, but...

If you can afford this place (that is by the way cheaper than other place comparable in Beijing) don't hesitate! The location in Old city is great, calm and gives you the feeling of living like real Beijing's people. The small Cour Carre is so charming, quite, well decorated. Rooms are spacious enough, modern and very clean. The bathroom is...

The Hotel Cote Cour is a delightful oasis of calm in a truly crazy city. Stepping through the red door facing into a grubby, lively and busy street in a hutong district, one is transported into the courtyard house of a Ming Dynasty middle-ranking official, with a quiet goldfish pool and a tinkling fountain. This is surrounded by less than...

The Cote Cour used to be a primary school before it was renovated into a hotel. I want to say it is about halfway into the hutong (not close to the roadside, a bit of walking to get out into the main roads on either side) so it's not easily accessible/findable by taxi but totally possible. Just remember landmarks and...

“Other reviewers have mentioned that the rooms were small but this was not a bad thing - we had enough room for all of our things in a standard room and it was perfect for our needs. There areas lounge areas that are quiet where you can go if you want to relax outside of the room.”
