The beds was the hardest ever and we did not sleep well. The entrance to the hotel was not very pleasant. The man in the reception...

When I informed the owner that I would be checking out two nights early, she became enraged and slapped herself in the face several times. Pointing to a wall in her office full of pictures, she asked me why in the world I didn't like her hotel when so many people (including a few half-celebrities) had stayed there and loved...

A necklace of emotional value was stolen from my room (a one-piece stone carved turtle). Even though they said they would, the management never got back to me on this before I had to leave in the middle of the night for the airport bus (which they knew). Considering the fact that you might 'lose' things here, the room gets...

The room is small and plain but ok since it's clean. Television is not cable, only CNN can be watched. Hot shower is ok, shampoo and shower gel are provided. Outside the hostel office (near elevator), smell is not good. Doors have electronic keys so very safe.

Left hand lift is for even numbers and right hand lift is for odd numbers. Warm welcome on reception, easy and no fuss Stayed in a double en-suite...

I agree that the Chunking mansion is probabely not the most fancy place to stay in Hong Kong, but for travelers on a buget it's enough. Dragon Inn has rooms with shared bathroom or ensuites and the owner takes good care of it. Compared with some other (cheaper) hostels in the mansion, this is one of the few that looks...

“Chungking Mansion's elevator is always full so it is more convenient to use fire exit (just near the elevator) if you're going down. Stair is unclean, smell on fire exit, not good.”
