Really really small for the single room. I think is ard 8 sq m. But the room has everything u need but aircon in my room was not cool at all. Also do be careful when u want to access the balcony. There is a curb between the room and balcony. I almost fell to my death as i didnt...

This was my first time in Hong Kong and I loved the central location of this hotel. It has a unique floor plan - for example, from the lobby to get to our room we went up the elevator to the 7th floor, then down some stairs and through a patio and back down two flights of stairs. But then...

Short walk to Wanchai metro station and inexpensive price (for Hong Kong island). The hotel is a bit strange in that for many rooms, you have to take an elevator to the seventh floor then go outside and walk down another stairwell to get to rooms on lower floors not accessible by elevator. But it's a small inconvenience for the...

Terrible staff, the telephone starts to ring at 10:40 a.m. with an automatic call saying you got to leave the room. Housekeeping wakes you up also with the noise they make in the corridors. terrible room really small. awful stay in this hotel. There are better hostels than this "hotel"

As a travel blogger, this is sadly the smallest, dirtiest and noisiest room I have ever stayed in (tried staying in, sat up all night due to street noise) asked to if I could pay more and be upgraded. Yes, but only the next day...new room in the hotel next door, room size was ok but again so dirty and...

Hotel was clean, was very tidy, and everything I needed as we were only bedding down for the night after a long day exploring HK! I really couldn't fault the hotel at all. Very close to Wan Chai MTR station. Would definitely recommend to others.

Don't come here for a long term stay. It's fine for one or two nights, but that's it. The rooms are very very time, barely any space for luggage. Some of the showers are strange, so ask to get a normal one on another floor. Not a room to 'chill' in, so only come here if you're an active person...

A tiny room in a great location, which is honestly exactly what I want in Hong Kong. If you get a balcony room, you get to look right out onto the road and enjoy the city atmosphere, though if you're a light sleeper, you'll find it lets in altogether too much atmosphere--it's very loud. As a fairly deep and, at...

Stayed here twice in August 2013 and returned for a third time in November 2015. Rooms are very small but clean. A lot of light shining in through window and noise from the street. Bring an eye mask and ear plugs. However, reasonable price for HK. Great location for train and amenities. Much better than Mingle with the Star.

The room is small but is well equipped and has a quaintness to it. Brick walls and shuttered balcony doors add to the retro feel. Beds are comfortable and the shower is high powered with plenty of hot water. It is located 300 meters from Wan Chai Metro Station. It is well run and the staff are efficient though they...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
