First, I must say Mr. Philip and his assistant Ms. Sherman were outstanding. But, all at the front were very engaging and accommodating. The hotel is "boutique "..I was always alone and it was fine for me. It is very centrally located if you are going to convention center or harbour front. It is a few dollar cab ride from...

Highly recommend this hotel. My business partner and I had the best enjoyable time during our 3 nights stay here. The excellent service we received from the staff led by Philip, Sherman and Alex was second to none! We will definitely come back when we return to Hong Kong.

This was our first time to Hong Kong and we stayed at Sohotel for 4 nights. The hotel was in an ideal location for sightseeing, just one MTR stop away from the Central station. Our room was small but very clean and well designed making it a great base for our trip. Customer service makes all the difference and what...

I found my self unexpectedly stranded in Hong Kong very late on a busy weekend night with very limited and very expensive hotel availability. I took the last airport express into Hong Kong Station and decided to walk to one of the hotels that showed availability. On the way I happened upon SOHOTEL - what a great find! The night...

Really nice place if you're in hk for a few days and want side seeing. Well located! Nearby a lot of interesting places and easy to get public transportation. Staff was very kind and helped me a lot. Rooms are small but very confortable and clean.

This has to probably be one of the best small/boutique hotels I have ever stayed at. I knew that I wanted to stay in that area and be relatively close to the train station, shops, etc. I knew that I did not require the hotel to have a restaurant, lounges, bars, etc., etc. I just needed a comfortable bed to...

A genuine, clean and modern hotel with a great service. The hotel is right outside the center of Hongkong. By foot, subway or taxi (cheap) it's easy to get inside both the center of Hongkong and Kowloon. We stayed for four nights and had breakfast inside the bed all mornings, time choosed by us. Even that morning we left at...

We had a very nice stay at the Sohotel, the rooms are very small but everything is well thought out and it all works. We arrived at 1pm and went through a "try to up-sell you a bigger room" routine to be able to check in an hour earlier. We declined the bigger room and checked in on time without...

Stayed for 4 nights. Hotel is in great location, very convenient for many areas and attractions. Rooms are small but I was aware of this when I booked and it did not cause me any problems. The staff are so friendly and couldn't have done any more for us. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning - bang on...

Stayed here for several nights and found this a perfect base for exploring Hong Kong. It's easily accessible from Sheung Wan station. From check-in found the staff very friendly and nothing seemed like too much effort. The room was very compact, which was expected, but it was well laid out so didn't feel too uncomfortable. The room contained a complimentary...

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
