We stayed at TaiO Heritage Hotel for 2 nights in January and it was an absolute treat. Staff are very helpful and accommodating and the hotel is beautiful. Spacious rooms, marble bathrooms with superb fittings. Very nice breakfast served in the look out venue consisting of a large board with different egg options, toast, fruits, croissants and pastries and the...

Don't bother with this place. If I could give them zero stars I would. They have no concept of customer service. I booked the hotel through an external website and found out later that it was extremely difficult to get to, and most forms of transportation were not running late at night when we were due to get there. They...

A nice weekend getaway, not too far away but it feels like you've truly left HK. Getting there can be a bit tricky, because you have to get off whatever vehicle you came with before you enter the village, and the hotel is situated at the far end of the village. Please also note that in order to drive there...

In Tai O, you can see old fashion stilt houses on a boat ride and visit the Heritage boutique hotel that is renovated from an old police stations. The restaurant in the hotel called the Lookout offers a decent set lunch or dinner for visitors

Location: about as far away as you can get from the downtown high rises and still be in Hong Kong. It is a trek just to get to Tai O, and another twenty minutes by foot from the village to the hotel. Very peaceful at night, but not so fun getting there if it's raining. Rooms: I had the suite...

We lived in Hong Kong Island and decided to take a short break to stay at this nicely restored hotel. The room is clean, comfortable with adequate supply of coffee and basic amenities. But the bed is a bit soft. Dinner is good and the breakfast caught us in surprised with good varieties of eggs, fruits and pastry. The only...

This is a small boutique hotel that has been restored from an old army barracks. There are only about a dozen or so rooms. The rooms are quite small but comfortable. All rooms open onto a covered walkway that overlooks the water. The hotel is on a hillside, and you can walk up to the building or take an elevator....

The hotel has been nicely refurbished from an old police station - beautiful and comfortable rooms, great views etc. Breakfast in the dining room was fantastic and the staff all tried very hard to make us feel at home. The only problems were their slightly weird service to guests. The main issue was that no-one in the email confirming booking...

Lovely spot for lunch at the end of a long walk along the harbour from Tai O village. Service was good and the food tasty. Can't comment about rest of hotel as only stopped for lunch but the surroundings and food here were lovely
