very good location in the heart of Wanchai, transportation very convenient, many bars and restaurants around. As Lockart Street is the "bar street" and red district, can be noisy until late into the night (better to stay in the upper floors of the hotel). rooms are clean, small but still OK according to HK standards !

The Wharney is excellently located for Public Transport on Hong Kong Island. My room was very comfortable and staff very helpful and friendly. During my one week stay I did not avail of food in the hotel because of the myriad of local restaurants. There are a few girlie bars near the entrance but the requests to enter their bars...

I found this hotel on BA.com, nice and cheap and very central. The night life was right outside the hotel but we didn't hear any noise at night. Free shuttle bus from the central station where the airport express arrives. Staff weren't too helpful but we eventually prided the info we needed out of them. I would stay here again

We stayed here on the way back from a trip to Europe. We initially had an issue in that they forgot to organise the bus to the hotel. They did get it sorted, and gave us a discount on our rooms, but it was a frustrating way to start a short layover. The rooms at the hotel were nice, standard...

The hotel is steps from Wan Chai MTR so it's easy to get from airport to hotel without the expense of a taxi. It is in the red light area but its low key and offers so much more. It's a 10 minute walk to the star ferry terminal to Kowloon. A 5 minute taxi gets u to happy valley...

This hotel is very good located in Wanchai only two metro's from Central where you arrive with the airport express. You're also having a lot of bars around and if you want to see some ladies dancing you also can see that, because you are into the red light district of hong kong over there. The staff of the hotel is...

In good location of Wan Chai. Red Light area. Close to MTR. Great for Convention Centre. The hotel is old, in need of renovation. Beds are very hard. The rooms are small. Also noisy til at least 3am from ex-pat bars in red light district. Desperately in need of bed upgrade. If you stay booked executive level, not much better,...

Located in the heart of Hong Kong side, Wanchai is a good location to stay in when on a business trip. It is a 5 minute walk to the nearest MTR station (Wanchai) and also a 5 minute walk to the HK Convention and Exhibiton Center. The street where it's located is also lined with bars, restaurants and convenient stores...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
