Sat in the Easton as I write this. We've been here before twice, and it is not the place it was. The first room we were allocated was very sub- standard. I had to request for the toilet to be cleaned straight away. There was something spread up the walls, and a strange smell. The hotel were very good in...

We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Once we found how to work the lights in our room we enjoyed being there. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot and overall clean. It is in a good location with bus and rail close by as well as being able to walk everywhere. Would stay there again.

Stayed in Triple Room(Family of 5 -2 adults 3 children). Room was fine but the toilet sliding door was not functioning well. Room was not available when I reached at 3pm and have to wait till 6pm+ to get it. Was ordered by the staff to check-out by 12pm on the last day. The hotel should compensate us with late...

We recently stayed here for a night on our way to NZ. We asked for and received a quiet room - the double glazing was very efficient in keeping out the street noise as it's a very busy place obviously. Our room was quite small but had everything we needed and was nicely furnished, the lighting in the bathroom was...

We were collected from the airport by the hotel limo service, which was efficient and friendly (and not too pricey for 3 of us). We were unable to check-in to the rooms so early, (7.30 am), but we were able to shower in the rooftop swimming pool changing rooms. Our "Club Room" was on the 14th floor, giving good views...

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights prior to joining a cruise. It's about 30 minute transfer from the airport. Centrally situated for all the shops and the very nice Kowloon Park. Staff very friendly, check in efficient . Rooms slightly on smaller side but very clean and everything you need is very carefully stored in various niches. The beds...

Stayed 5 nights and had a great time. Took advantage of there free airport bus which made getting there a breeze. Loved the club for nightly drinks and breakfast option was plentiful. Markets just across the road, ladies market an easy 1 km away. 10 minute walk to Jordan Station. Staff very welcoming particularly in the club. Upgrade to the...

We have stayed here on two previous occasions and come back to it because of its location at the quieter end of Nathan Road. It is very convenient for the Airport bus, the Jade Market and the Temple Street Market. Many service buses will get you to the Star Ferry terminal too, or you can walk there in 25 minutes....

Firstly we arrived here from a luxurious hotel in Borneo. So this felt like a totally different type of hotel and everyone was wearing coats and we were in shorts. The space on each floor feels very cramped and busy and the building is very high. We were on 19th floor. When we arrived in the room it felt tiny...

... doesn't seem like it when you arrive at the ground floor lifts in a side street, but don't despair, the hotel is great, roomy rooms, excellent staff and well placed for a short walking tour of this part of Hong Kong. We did the upgrade offered at check in, which gave us a larger room, included breakfast and membership...

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
