We stayed here just before a cruise in March and booked this hotel after seeing the reviews. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was great, it was on the fifteenth floor with a wonderful harbour view. The room itself was comfortable and only a little bit dated (particularly in the bathroom). There was a some noise from...

I stayed in YMCA for 5 nights .We had booked 2 rooms - 1 harbour view & another Standard room. From Airport we took bus A21 which dropped us at 500m from the hotel at Nathan Road. The check in was smooth and on requesting we got 1 room by 11am.The staff was very courteous and spoke english well. The rooms are...

Doesn't fit the stereotype of YMCA at all - is more like a a 3 or 4 star hotel. I arrived in a fluster after leaving my backpack on the bus (oh dear!) but Zoe on reception helped me to get quickly reunited with it and even wrote me a note in Chinese in case I couldn't be understood on...

Stayed for 3 nights en route to Australia. Great location - access to underground nearby. Rooms a bit small - but we only slept in them, so didn't spend much time in it. Not sure if it was just us being jet-lagged - but we never found the pool!! We looked a couple of times but always seemed to get...

We stayed here for two nights en route to the UK. This is a proper hotel - don't let the name fool you. Our room was really a suite - large bedroom, a lounge with fold out couch and another room with a desk. We didn't have a "Harbour view room" but nevertheless had a view including the harbour. The...

As a building it does not look very inviting, but it was clean inside and the hospitality was good. The view of the Harbour from our suite (room number 1431) was fantastic and a the fraction of the cost of the Peninsula next door. Breakfast buffet was good and busy. We used the ground floor Cafe for other meals where...

I read the reviews before I booked a room at The Salisbury..... and all of it was true! This is most definitely the best value for money in Hong Kong. The location is unbeatable! We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a lovely spacious family room with lots of windows to enjoy the incredible view. Wow, wow, wow! This...

We spent 3 nights at The Salisbury en route to New Zealand and for what we wanted (a central base, good views, clean and quiet at night) it was spot on. Better than what we expected - something about the name of the hotel made me uneasy, thinking it would be very basic and "youth hostel"-like but far from it....

I stayed at the Salisbury for 2 nights in October 2010. This was my second visit here after staying for a week in 2007. The Salisbury is a great value for Hong Kong. The location is fantastic, right beside the Peninsula in Kowloon. It's definitely worth the extra for a harbour view room - the view of the Hong Kong...
