This was the first hostel I had checked into whilst staring my travels, and I am SO happy about it. So clean, very bright rooms, colourful and a happy place. A very clean hostel. Reading lights and good curtains on each bunk. There may have been a reason why there was so much water on the floor in the room...

For me, accommodation is all about location first as I spend most of my time outdoors when travelling. I went there solo for 3 nights and I'm in my late 20s for context. Location - entrance is in a side street in the heart of Causeway Bay. 5-10min walk to Victoria Park and Wan Chai, 15-20min walk to LKF, and...

Stay here if you want the quintessential Hong Kong hostel experience. This place has dorm rooms, a common room, kitchen...even a rooftop terrace! Tours and activities are regularly scheduled - opportunities to meet and great fellow travelers abound! Well worth a visit!

I stayed in a 9 bed room. The bathroom was large and clean. The in room luggage lockers were large enough to hold one of my checked in bags. One note: don't leave towels or shirts on your bed, as roomates or the cleaning crew may discard them

This hostel works well for what it is which is an affordable bed in a great location in Hong Kong. The 20 bed dorms are extremely cramped with beds stacked three high with the bottom one literally being on the floor. The common space is pretty packed with couches and chairs but it works. The bonus is it does have...

Yesinn Causeway Bay hostel is very affordable. Though it is hard to look for. (2nd floor but you have to take elevator to get to the reception area) Upon check-in, you get to grab some tourist attraction cards and even a Hong Kong map for free. They have this common area where you get to mingle with other travelers. You...

I checked in to the dorm, later that night I was scratching my arm and there were so many red dots by 2am. When I informed the front desk in the morning 8am, they were not apologetic. In fact they acknowledged that that particular bed has had complaints before. They agreed to let me change beds. The next day I...

This place is super cool! I stayed here mainly because it was the meeting place for a 15 day tour around China. I stayed 3 nights before my trip and it was a fantastic decision! I've never travelled solo before so was a little daunted about the prospect of spending a couple of days alone in HK but right away...

We stayed in the private rooms which are on the opposite side of the hostel in a big apartment block. I've seen some reviews mentioning staff and I understand from visiting now. When I tried to check in I was ignored for a good 15 mins. It was irriatating I wont lie but anyways. The room was very small but...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
