This hotel cancelled our reservation two months after we booked the room. They only proposed that we go to their other hotel with a much more expensive price. We are very disappointed. This would be illegal in France where we are from.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Room we had was spacious as per local standards, bed comfortable, ac efficient, shower reliable and wifi quite fast. No breakfast on premises, but many options available around. 5 minutes walk to subway station. Deposit is required (cash or card) of 1500 HKD. All in all, very good accommodation option around wan chai, I... More

I travelled with a young kid together with my hubby. Thus, I've chosen a hotel which is nearby mtr station (wan chai station, exit A3 or A4). The room is considered big in HK standard. The room is cozy but it has some moldy smell from the washroom. Free flow of coffee is provided 24 hours. The visitors may get... More

This hotel needs a total makeover - with the exception of the reception. I lived in HK for a number of years so I'm very familiar with the problems that can occur. This building smells of damp and it all looks rather tired. The rooms are small and the bathroom is virtually in the bedroom. The location is pretty decent... More

For the price, location, size of room AND decor, the V Wanchai 2 is awesome. Steps away from Wanchai MTR station. Rooms are very spacious, well equipped with amenities and modern decor. I was upgraded to a wheel chair enabled room, which may have been even more spacious. Lots of storage space. Unfortunately, I did not feel comfortable at this... More

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, 5 days during the first week of July 2016. The good thing about this hotel is that it is within walking distance to public transport, some good restaurants, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. That’s it. Our taxi stopped in the mid of a very narrow street. There was no one there... More

I stayed at this lovely, boutique hotel for 1 night on the way from Shenzhen to Singapore. I wanted to stay somewhere different than my usual haunts and on a whim picked this place. It is a gem. Rooms were good clean. Bathrooms spacious and the decor was comfortable. The location was a 5 minute walk to Wan Chai MTR... More

This is a small hotel at the center of Wan Chai, so don't expect resort amenities. It's a good space though for people looking for a no-frills clean, comfortable, and relaxing space to sleep in while in HK island. Service is good, and they have a free cocktail hour (wine and beer) every late afternoon at the 3rd floor lobby/outdoor... More

The hotel is vary close to transportation links and very easy to find. It is located near Wanchai station, ideally located for nightlife. We've booked the simple room but we were upgraded. The room was very nice, spacious and comfortable. Very nice view, facing the mountain. I can definitely recommend it.

The hotel is 5minutes walk away from Wanchai station, and also walking distance to some famous eateries like Kam's Roast Goose and Captial cafe'. As you walk into the hotel you will be impressed by the decor and elegance, especially the reception area at level 3, which appeared most frequent in travellers' photos too. In contrast to level 1 and... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
