The room which they provided me was ok but it's not bath attached, room got a nice view of city. Food they provided is good. Got money exchange facility there. And got a good English speaking guide there. Overall got a good experience.
I worked offshore so I am a member of the club. It is very centrally located with easy access to all kind of transportation and just 2 minute walk to the subway station and 10 minutes to the bus depot . It has restaurants and...More
First the positive things:
The location is absolutely great, with Nathan Road and Star Ferry very close by. On top you have a subway station just around the corner - so a very good starting point for exploring Hongkong.
The stuff at the reception was...More

Contrary to the name you don't have to be a seafarer to stay here, but it does help, as you get priority and a discounted room rate. As a retired seafarer simply provide written proof of you past profession. Don't expect luxury, and the rooms...More
Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the major tourist and shopping areas of Hong Kong. With a high concentration of hotels, retail shops and commercial offices – it’s a busy and bustling neighbourhood that never sleeps. On the surface, Tsim Sha Tsui seems to only feature an abundant number of high-end retail stores selling designer brands and jewelry, owing to its popularity with high-budget shopping tours. However, it also
contains a diverse range of attractions for the entire family. Whether taking a walk in Kowloon Park, exploring museums, going shopping or grabbing a bite to eat – Tsim Sha Tsui has something for everyone.

Hi Alison M,
We stayed on 5th Floor in hotel ensuite style room for 5 nights. As a retired seafarer I received an appropriate discount so please contact the establishment directly for tariff. Yes the rooms are dated / faded / tired but you are not paying 4 or 5 star prices and the rooms are reasonably spacious by Hong Kong standards. Bear in mind that the accommodation was originally designed to house seafarers and may not be up to standards sought by some tourists. We had no cleanliness problems with our room as alleged by another contributor. Bottom line: You get what you pay for. I suggest you check out the YMCA/YWCA for comparison purposes. Personally speaking my wife and I have stayed there several times before and on a value for money basis, and location, the Mariner's Club is hard to beat.
