I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while travelling alone. I stayed on the 12th floor, windows were frosted so no view and windows did not open. The room was very average, slightly on the small side, but still comfortable with all of the expected amenities. Nothing special. If you are travelling to Hong Kong for tourism, it is...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as a stop off. The hotel is very pleasant inside and it was the same time of the Rugby 7's, they coped very well with the extra guests and showed excellent humour with the guests who had been celebrating a little too much. Our room was pleasant and so was the bathroom....

Our experience at the Dorsett didn't start well with my husband & I been given twin beds in our room instead of a double; we were told that we need to specify when booking that we need a double. This isn't something that I have encountered before & this was 7th hotel that we stayed in on this trip. The...

I stayed at this hotel with two friends for seven nights, and the experience and level of service overall was better than expected. We stayed in a deluxe triple room, which whilst being a little on the cramped side, represented comfortable and value for money accommodation. Our room was available at 11 am which was of great benefit after our...

We remembered the Cosmopolitan Hotel. It has been rebranded as Dorsett Wanchai and we were looking forward to our stay after a positive experience in its sister hotel in Kwun Tong. The interior and facilities had been upgraded. The new lobby was dapper with bold decor statements, romantic touches of baby blue and figurines of birds and horses. It's location...

The Dorsett is very central to everything and well priced for an international hotel. The rooms were always clean and quiet. Service was excellent, and everyone spoke excellent English and couldn't have been more helpful in providing directions and advice. We did not eat in the hotel. We used the shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel which was...

We stayed for 4 nights in April, this bring my first time to Hong Kong. The rooms are nice but small. Beds and linen are excelllent, the best quality of the room. We had a racetrack view, which was nice. The buffet breakfast was ok, we skipped it two out of the four days as I didn't fed the food...

As first timers to HK....We arrived around 145pm for a week via 'limo' service arranged thru travel agent as we were coming from UK and knew we we would be too shattered to wait for shuttles which are convenient but just take longer.. It took about 45mins each way. although they estimated up to 1.5hrs in both out and return....

We stayed for 5 nights! Staff were helpful, and they upgraded us to a higher floor. It was a busy time for them especially we were there just after the rugby sevens and then something else at the convention centre. Staff serving breakfast in the dining room deserves a commendation! They clear the tables in good speed. Served with a...

Awesome location if you're visiting for the HSBC 7s tournament. The walk to the stadium took about 20 minutes! The hotel is also so conveniently located for walking around Wan Chai and Causeway - this is what we did as a family: exploring the place looking for great food!! This was easily found everywhere ☺ The Dorset is also so...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
