Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.

Very convenient location, room is a good size and very clean. Breakfast is more on the Asian side but you can find something to eat to start your day, the only problem for me personally was that the restaurant area is not very clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel and if

It is our 3rd visit to Dorsett. Mr Ronald Cheung is the main reason for our returning visits since our first stay in 2016. When we returned in 2018 and met Mr. Ronald at the front desk, I was thrilled that he could recognise us at once and instantly offered our family

Me and my family staying here last October. It was a very quick stay but the staff made us feel very welcome. Service was great and the room was very clean and nicely presented. They even put a couple of stuffed animals on the bed for our kids on arrival which was a nice touch.

The hotel shuttle is free, schedule is available at the lobby area. One of the shuttle’s main route is - Hotel > HK Convention Centre > Central / Hong Kong station (Airport Express)

We took the A11 bus from the Airport. We got off at stop #12 and walked to the Hotel. It is a slight uphill walk. You can take the subway into Central Station, and then cab it to the Dorsett. This is more expensive and it requires a cab ride to the hotel. On the way to the airport the Dorset does offer a free shuttle to the Central Station to catch the subway. The most expensive method is a cab. It was 5 X the price of the bus.

We caught the train from the airport which is really reasonably priced. It is easy to catch, goes often. We then just got a taxi from the train station to the hotel which didn't cost much. On the way back we got the free hotel shuttle to the train station. You could contact the hotel to see if the shuttle could pick you up from the train station but if you don't have an exact time it makes it a bit hard and it wouldn't cost more than about $10 (NZ) for a taxi. Hope this helps. We loved Hong Kong.
