If you compare the services of other Guesthouses,This place (Star Guesthouse) is Terrible! In terms of being unfriendly to guests...the manager/owner is not easy to converse with and not open to inquiry. Compare the prices of other Guesthouses in Tsim Sha Tsui, especially in areas like Chungking mansions is a lot cheaper and just the same amenities. It's more practical to... More

We have investigated on this matter, according to one of our managers, the writer of this review is a Filipino. We asked him to pay on time, however he insisted to pay after checking out. This is against our policy. I would recommend the writer to follow the policy on payments wherever he would be as a role of a... More

Star Guesthouse is an ok place to stay. Small beds and rooms but if you need a budget place to sleep for a few nights then it is perferctly acceptable. The location is easy to find - just off Nathan Road. If your window faces the front it can be noisy as there are clubs on that street that make... More

Very nice, clean and cozy... a bit pricey but maybe because its in the city. Not bad, safe and clean. They clean up everyday, just not sure if they changed my beddings..stayed here for a week! Its very near shops, malls and a few blocks from the mtr. Staff are nice and friendly.

Recently I stayed at this guest house for 10 days.Luckily my very nice room had a streetside window , good shower and plenty of convenient shelving for all my bits and pieces ( purchases ! ) There is a good comfortable double bed and cost H.K.$550 a night for a big single room. It still is like a large box... More

I was looking for a cheap place to sleep in Hong Kong for my transit. I read some good reviews about this place on the Tripadvisor and decided to check availability. The hotel can be booked via hostelbooking site as well, but I decided to call them. The receptionist informed me about the availability and confirmed my reservation (no credit... More

Originally, I booked to Lee Garden Guest House butt a staff transferred me to Star Guest House near Lee. They seem prepared to transfer me to Room 206 without informing me ahead of time. I don't like last minute changes especially when you psyched up already. I requested for a room with window to expect a view but they gave... More

My family and I were transferred over from the Lee Garden Guest House across the street. Even though it was just nearby, it would have helped if the staff did tell us to go over to Star via email before we reached to save us the hassle of moving (considering that we had to take mini elevators to both guest... This was my first time staying at this guest house. I found the staff to be friendly; the room was clean with a bathroom, a double bed, a TV and fresh towels and soaps. What was important is that it was both comfortable and clean. Yes; the rooms are small but this isnt that big of an issue. I have... More

I have stayed here many times since Charlie Chan opened it in the 1980s. When you are looking for inexpensive rooms in HK, be very careful of places located within the Chungking Mansion or Mirador Mansion. These places are zoos. Just getting on an elevator (lift) is a challenge. imagine a fire emergency. The Star Guest House and its sister... More

I was a lone female traveller in hongkong and I was looking for a budget hotel that is centralised and safe. I found this place on tripadvisor and it did not disappoint me.
