For those who prefer to stay a little removed from the chaos of city life, Sonam hostel offers a piece of tranquility only 10 min walk from Norbulingka Park and just 15min walk from the Potala Palace. My family and I have visited Lhasa several times over the past couple of years. Each time we've stayed at Sonam Hostel and LOVED our experience there! The staff is wonderful; the rooms are clean, spacious, lovely and comfortable; the dining area is cozy and welcoming and the food is just right; the garden areas are beautiful and great places...

The location is not as centered as the other two famous hostel in Lhasa( PingCuo and Dongcuo), but it's not far from the city center. You can easily get a cab and it only takes you about 5 mins and RMB10 from the city center here. or, you can walk here if you want. I really like the ambience of...

We stayed here for about a week. We took a room for 2 persons and it's quite spacious and clean! There are also several tables outside if you wanna enjoy the sun in the quiet garden. It's quite a new hostel, so the equipments are in good condition, comfortable beds, nice shower and toilet. rooms are clean and tidy. We visited lhasa in the extremely cold season, but it provides electric blankets and heaters, which are more than enough. what's unexpected is - every room is equipped with a humidifier, which really save my life in...

The rooms are big, comfortable and very clean. The location is excellent, you can walk to most of the major sights. The staff (front desk) is really friendly and hepfull. I enjoyed my stay and can definitely recommend this place.
