I had my wedding at Ayana Midplaza in January 2020 and was handled very well by the hotel’s team members. Some of my guests and I were staying for 2 nights and hospitality was top notch.
My wedding salesperson Ms. Rita is very helpful, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. She responded promptly to all my enquiries. Firstly, she helped to introduced some of her best and professional network of wedding vendors as I had my wedding without a wedding planner. She gives favourable suggestions as to what are more efficient. I was thoroughly satisfied with the other vendors recommended.
She then arranged meetings for other vendors and food test, where I met the chef in charge who is very experienced and willing to listen to our taste preference, realizing the perfect dishes for my guests (my guests kept complimenting the dishes at my wedding even after they had returned to their hometowns). During the event I could see the chef came out to check on dishes and their presentation.
The night before the wedding, I was late to check in as there are several things i need to wait for, receptionists are friendly and check in process was quick as I was registered to the system by Ms. Rita before. I met a friendly bellboy/ porter who is informative and shared his own interesting similar life experience while sending me and my things to my room. He gladly showed me my way to see Mr. Zuhru who would accept my wines and keep my wedding souvenirs at the banquet. With a smile on his face (even though I have passed the hour to pass my things), he counted and recounted my things without fail. The same bellboy also sent me to my suite to see it being decorated. They did not mind me wanting to use my red bedcover, putting up my framed prewed picture and some decorative like my soft toys and bed lamps. That was when I saw generous amount of beautiful flowers in bouquet and vases that I love in my suite.
I chose Ayana Midplaza banquet as I fancy their beautiful crystal chandeliers and color coordinated luxurious carpet and wooden-and-glass backdrop, which also means less decoration needed.
At the night of the event Ayana too put extra beautiful flowers, staffs in charge were alert on the needs of my staffs and guests, ie. giving out glasses of wine, picking up used plates and glasses, helped with curled carpet edges to avoid guests tripping and so forth.
Every staff in Ayana seemed willing to go the extra mile to see a smile on their customer’s face. I cant thank every staff members (in charge of my wedding and stay) at Ayana Midplaza enough for the excellent service, meal and outstanding effort making my wedding and stay more memorable.

I conducted a small workshop for 30 people in Ayana. I got a pretty good rate IDR 510K/pack. Actually the food was so-so. They served an authentic Indonesian food that is pretty hard to find recently such as kecipir. I love it so much. Their semur daging is the best. I wish I can eat it everyday. And the burger is super good!! Best burger I had in my live. But the rest of the food, just standard.
I recommend you to use room Jasmine 3 if you will conduct event for around 30 people. The room is very big compare to the other rooms (Jasmin 4 for example). With bigger room, you will have more space to do a lot of activities, group discusion and ice breaking for example. It has mirror wall and better lighting. You will definitely have good pictures for your event's report. Hey, that's important!
If you will conduct such event in Ayana, please make sure that you give clear information about the room to your participants. Ayana Hotel has confusing hotel's layout. I need to put several signs and give clear instruction how to get to the room to every participants. So they won't get loss and come to my event late. The location is pretty far from public transportation. But the Setiabudi MRT station and Karet Sudirman busway shelter are 15-20 minutes walking passing through MidPlaza building, make sure you inform that to your partcipants.
Oh and they have convenience store (Family Mart) in the ground floor close to Jasmine 3 room. For event organizer, it helps a lot especially if you need something suddently. They have travel agent, money changer, and english course agent as well in the ground floor. Actually, I am not really sure about the money changer.
I love working with Ayana's staff. They are very responsive. Despite of the all confusing room layout and less strategic location, their staff is very accomodative. Indeed, their location is in Sudirman area, which is business center area, but their location is pretty hard to find and quite far from public transport. Just prepare for this, before you conduct event here.

Ayana is our first choice when we want to spend a weekend in the city and enjoy some morning walk during Car Free Day because the location is strategic and it provides bikes on request. The service is good, the pool is nice and I especially love the pool lounger, can spend a whole day just relaxing there. The room is very comfy and kudos to the Front Office team who is very accommodating and excellent in handling our requests. My third stay in Ayana was two weeks ago along with some friends and the experience was great. I have stayed in this hotel twice in 2019. First when there's opening ceremony of Asian Games and the latest when 2019's new year eve, so 31 Dec 2019. This pro and cons maybe only apply if the hotel had high occupancy rate especially when everyone wants to have staycation for newl year eve. Here are my pros and cons:
Pros:
1. Located at central area of new year eve celebration for Jakarta hence you could see a lot of fireworks scene from the surrounding. But bear in mind since the location a bit behind other building hence your vision may be blocked by some taller buildings at its surrounding
2. The staff very attentive. The staff at check in counter even always gave her best smile to me even i gave her my "dissapoint" look hence I tent to go softer on her. And she did reconfirmation to her next to colleague which still offer something that previously she said to me that I couldn't get because of high occupancy rate. Other staff I met like room service staff also very kind and attentive.
3. Near mrt station and a lot of options to go to for food. Anykind of food: Indonesian, Japan, Chinese, Western, etc.
Cons:
1. Very crowded in check in counter, even already 5 staff handling it. Like i said above because it's high occupancy rate, too many demanding customers with lists of their demand must be taken care hence for a customer it will take more than 15mins to handle, at least for the customer in front of me. Tips: go for early check in, but accept that you only can get your room at 2pm as stated in any bookings.
2. The elevator smell is not that good. For 5 stars hotel supposedly all area of hotels have good smell, the lobby and surrounding has it, but not inside the elevator!
3. I book the hotel via travel agent, the most important thing that I did when I book, i'll ensure that either I tick the option or put a note that i choose non smoking floor. And this is a big FAILED from my last experience. Maybe if my expectation been managed before i arrived at the check in counter I would have different feelings and expression to show. The staff said I got the room at smoking floor since all rooms in non smoking floor had veen fully booked. I only know about this when i did a check in!
4. I know that this hotel previously owned by other hotel chain, and seems now this hotel needs to do some maintenance or even renovation for the wall and carpet in the room. It seems like old 5 stars hotel now.

I stayed in Ayana after months of lockdown at home due to pandemic.
Tired and feeling depressed for not being able to go anywhere, so I decided to pull some courage and book a staycation at Ayana Midplaza Jakarta.
Time was pretty hard that time. I believe a lot of hotels and tourism facilities has to reduce the services for efficiency reason.
Not sure what will I get from staying in a hotel during pandemic, but I was curious to experience (and a little bit worried to be honest).
To my surprise, even though Ayana seems a bit less busy than before pandemic; and less staff seen around; upon my arrival I had a really good experience.
The check in was really smooth and efficient; of course with a very strict protocol. I was aware there are more steps to make sure the health protocol being imposed on the check in / reception desk; but I was pleasantly being taken care of and does not feel like being annoyed with those health form protocols etc.
The check in staff at front office also made sure that my room has been sanitized so that I could have my staycation conveniently. They gave a good explanation when I asked about how the sanitizing process after each guest stay in the room. The very well explanation from the front office staff surely gave me an ease of mind for my stay.
And of course.. inside the room, as promised, it was well maintined and well sanitized. The stay was a really good break for the whole pandemic lockdown craziness.
Thank you Ayana Jakarta. It was a pleasure, and my regards to your staff.. keep the spirit high as they have done a marvelous job!

I didn’t get my room and need to wait for 3++ hours for it.
Friday 30 October 2020, Me and my family checked in to Ayana Jakarta at around 14.20 WIB (check in for two rooms with connecting room). Management said my room will be ready in one hour because currently they’re understaff (which seems reasonable for me) and they give us one spare room to wait (because we bring a baby). After two hour (we added one hour spare time for them), I checked to the receptionist whether my room are ready or not? The receptionist said that they need more time to tidy up my rooms and will be ready in around 30 minutes, we said Ok we will wait. In around 17.30 WIB we checked again and they said my rooms still not ready, because we waited too long we decided to go directly to the receptionist to ask to cancel our reservation because we waited too long for the rooms. When we asked for the cancelation they seems hesitated and ask us to stay but need to wait for another 30 minutes, we cant wait another minute and ask the cancelations right away. At the end they give us the cancelations after we keep pushing them to cancel, we need to push the cancelation and cannot just go because my credit card was open in the receptionist.
This accident show how awful the hotel management on Ayana Jakarta even as a basic as providing the rooms they cannot fulfill them (FYI: the hotel occupancy seems not to crowded based on we see on the restaurant and lobby).
Be aware of this hotel management, especially for others traveler if you travel with babies or kids.

For our quarantine, we were specifically looking for a room with balcony and meal served with real dish and silverware instead of lunch box and plastic cutleries. That’s when we found that Ayana ticked all the boxes. We booked the studio suite room, it was so spacious for 2 of us. I love the balcony where I spend most of my mornings there. The food selection is good and all of them are delicious. Don’t forget to order their Asian Inspired Salad, we ended up ordering that again and again for dinner. The bathroom. OMG! I love the warm toilet seat with the buttons for after you finished the business. Just like in Japan. They use Sensatia for soap n shampoo, which smells like essential oil! The staffs are very helpful here and full of smile (even though they’re wearing mask). We had a leak in our room in the closer area, they handled it pretty good. They offered us to move into other room but we refused because we have a lot of stuffs and it was almost our end of stay. To conclude, we’re very happy to choose Ayana for our quarantine. Sometimes I feel it’s more like 8 days Staycation than quarantine. I already recommended this hotel to some friends who needs to be in quarantine. Thank you Ayana!

We would like to share our best experience with Ayana hotel during our family 8 days quarantine. We received best treatment possible, including very spacious executive rooms with access to terrace and local garden, suffisticated chocolate and fruit compliments, activity books for kids and yoga matrices to enjoy fitness on the terrace. Quarantine menu was perfectly elaborated for all tastes- Asian, European, Indonesian, Chinese food with great choice for children. Very timely and high level services, including gentle pcr tests. To be honest, I don’t expect much to stay at this hotel. But its surprise me. The checkin process is very easy and smooth, the hotel restaurant is have a great menu, excellent service and all staff is accomodate to our requirement. We love the swimming pool, its clean, the water temperature is quite warm, they have staff that supervise the swimming pool area, and they provide clean towel. For the room itself, I love the bedding, super comfy, the sheets are clean and smells good, and the toilet seat are advanced! The breakfast menu option are also great. I miss to stay at Ayana Midplaza already. I will be back soon!

This was probably my 3rd time staying at Ayana Midplaza and this time I took my friends, we booked 3 rooms. Service was amazing, from the moment my reservations handled until checking out. Room amenities were superb, always hassle free and the pool loungers I think are the best feature in their pool..they are big, complete with pillows, plugs and are also comfortable. The hotel is located in a strategic location, always love staying here during weekend so that we can join the CFD on Sunday. Super recommended!
