JW Marriott located at Mega Kuningan Jakarta, clean room and spacious especially bathroom area, Syailendra restaurant at lobby crowded during weekend since a lot of outside guest having brunch, executive lounge is perfect spot they serve simple breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner/evening cocktail. Friendly and helpful staffs especially staff in executive lounge. Be careful before you stay please make sure your rate include parking fee or not since they offer promotion rate and we need to pay parking fee separately. Overall it was nice stay at JW Marriot Jakarta.

First impression of this hotel is its extraordinary level of security. But once you get inside, the sense of warmth and hospitality will welcome you as their valuable guest. Hotel is quite old for today's standard, but it's very well maintained and organized.

I stayed in the Deluxe King room and good job to the hotel that my pre arrival notes was noticed, like my request of "room at the highest floor possible." The quality of service provided was succeed in maintaining JW Marriott standard, despite the difficult time experienced by hospitality industries worldwide these days.

Breakfast service was amazing! Wide range of foods provided from Indonesian, Western, East Asian, fresh fruits, pastries, eggs, salads, etc. Although the breakfast service conducted with strict health protocol, the quality of service was very good and no different than pre pandemic standard. The chocolate croissant is marvelous, good job to the pastry chef!

Swimming pool is not too big to compare with other hotels. However, JW Marriott Jakarta could maintain it very well and the tropical garden nearby is a plus point. The gym is also very well maintained and up to the latest standard.

As highlighted, staffs are the best this hotel has. During breakfast, they were very attentive. When I waited for a glass of coffee, the staffs were always taking initiative to serve as fast as possible so you don't have to wait too long to get what you need. I would also give my biggest gratitude to one staff near the swimming pool (my bad that I forgot his name). When I asked for the nearest toilet, he did not only show me the way but also accompanied me until I reached the toilet. Although I said this is not necessary as I saw he's working, but he's willing to provide his best of personal service. Once again, another outstanding initiative by the staff of JW Marriott Jakarta!

Room was great, all basic necessities are there and everything worked very well so I have no issues regarding the room as well as the bathroom and toiletries.

Based on this personal experience, I would say I definitely had a great time staying here and would consider returning in the future. Keep up the outstanding service, as well as the quality of your wonderful staffs!

I am a guest relations manager in the branch of Dubai. my story is ls that i called the guest relation staff and asked for two towels
guest relation staff responded to me immediately, then he called housekeeping to provide me what i asked for.
badly housekeeping department have not provide me anything. After one hour i was angry so i called again asking for 2 towels
guest relation staff was in shock because he though that she received the 2 towels

My room was only ready at 6PM:
Arrived at 3.28pm and I had to queue for 40 mins (standing) to finally reach receptionist and be told that my room wasn’t ready. By that time it was already 4pm (2 hrs post scheduled checkin time) and our room wasn’t ready. I saw a person who stood in line after me with the same type of room was able to get her room right away. I asked how come I came earlier and mine wasnt ready. And the receptionist said because each of us was already assigned at specific room, and mine wasnt ready. They said they would call me once the room is ready, but ofcourse I never got the call. I came back to check at 6pm and was only able to get my room by then.
Scheduled check in time 2pm, got my room at 6pm..... So in total I had to wait for 4 HOURS to get my room ready

Breakfast
We were given a coupon to attend at specific time slot for breakfast, and each time slot was for 40mins. i came at my time slot, but ofc the tables were full and I had to wait and searched for empty table. Then the meal counters were also packed , so we had to queue again to get the food. Those waiting for table and queueing for eggs, western food and juice already took me 35 mins! meaning I only had 5 minutes to eat... by the time it reached to the next slot, the staff approached me twice to say the time was up. If you want us to be strict to the 40mins schedule, you also need to serve quick! good thing I didnt choke on my food due to being rushed. the bacon and hash brown were so oily because they needed to cook it much and fast.

Overall, They weren’t ready at all to welcome long weekend holiday. The hotel had full occupancy, but this shouldn’t be an excuse to be lacking in service. My stay didnt feel like it was in 5 stars hotel :(

This hotel has a good location which is close to local shopping malls and plus, they have a shuttle bus to get there.
We were very satisfied with their food. There are all different kinds of food at the buffet breakfast so that you can't even taste all of them.

But one thing that we really didn't like about the lounge was that female staff kept asking our room number. On the other hands, we saw they didn't seem to ask all of the guests having supper at the lounge. You can't have access to the lounge if you aren't a Bonvoy Elite and even come to the 29th floor. Taking this fact into consideration, keeping asking our room number made us feel totally annoying, unpleasant & lose our appetite.

My husband is an ambassador elite that you guys may easily remember at least the second time. We felt as if we tried to have free dinner there without an access card. Having supper at the lounge or restaurant is actually very cheap and no big deal to us anyway.

Is it that hard to remember one ambassador guest? As far as I know there aren't so many ambassador guests staying at your hotel. I hope the female staff working at the lounge will treat & ask fairly all the guests not pick out some of them.

It’s about 15-20 mins drive from the cbd, rooms are spacious but the furnishing and overall interiors look very dated. You would typically expect better from a Jw Marriott.

Breakfast is very average, food options for in room dining and in premise are limited. There is a Japanese restaurant inside, fairly pricey and really really bad food. The sushi is stale and Low quality fish.

The hotel bar/club is quite bad as well.

Staff are ok but English levels must be improved.

On my 4th day of my business visit to Jakarta, it appears that the Food & Beverage Manager cannot keep some of the items that I feel a supposed 5 star hotel should keep ALWAYS in enough in stock.

After calling room service for my fiancé and I to order 2 bowls of Chocolate Ice Cream sent to our room on a rainy Sunday afternoon, we are informed by room service that it is finished or out of stock. Talk about disappointing, how does a supposed 5 star ever run out of Chocolate Ice Cream that has a very lengthy shelf life???

Next, on Sunday evening we decide to venture up to the 29th floor to visit and eat at the Executive Lounge to try their Mexican themed snacks night. After looking at the Taco station and asking if the Guacamole is available for this offering, we are informed that they have run out of Guacamole and no more will be offered. Talk about a let down. Guacamole is the major key to pulling off a real deal Taco night. What a pity.

Frequent visitor to Jakara area. Have stayed at The Ritz-Kunigan, The Westin, Le Meridien, Keraton and this time at JW Marriott.
Among Marriott portfolio, seem to offer good value, particularly Wellness Package that I had booked. All the staff that I've met during the stay seemed friendly and had a nice upgrade. Fairly average to good executive lounge but not exceeding nor matching "JW" level.
Some of the issues were many of the "package items" were not available, thus decreasing the "value" of the package. Communicated with hotel staff on various levels, seem friendly enough but none followed up to resolved the issue or gave incorrect information which lead to additional disappointments during the stay. Not only that, fridge had food leftover from previous guest. YAIKS! Had I not paid additional for the package deal and expectation along with it (and the issue with leftover food from previous guest), may have been an average stay without issue. But who knows and didn't want to take the chance and cancelled the additional upcoming stay.
Not expecting a perfect stay, but hope the property work to honor what they sell and not disappoint guests on various levels and management to execute properly in action and not just in words. I hope they got rid of the Wellness Package as I've asked/mentioned to management.

Was staying here for two nights: 6 to 8 November at Room #1101.

Great room, with complete amenities and Hygiene set (includes Disposable mask and glove, hand sanitizer). Room was perfectly cleaned and great room service.

Beautiful Bathroom with Bathtub, powerful hot shower. No complain at all for the room.

However, the selection for breakfast should be much improved. Many stalls but with same food selection. Breakfast was limited only for 45 minutes (with batch card given during the check-in). I didn’t think it was for the protocole, since you would find a very full and packed restaurant during that given time. Shoud be considered if you want to have your breakfast here.

Tried JW Marriott this time around for our trip to Jakarta and it was an overall pleasant experience for 5 nights . Firstly the staff at the hotel at whichever angle you look, they are fabulous so kind and helpful and attentive to each guest which is a major score for the hotel . Our deluxe Room was spacious and toilet quite generous in size as well .

Chinese restaurant was amazing great food and the chili paste which they had on table was so good and upon complimenting the chef, he sent a tub to our room which was so nice and thoughtful.

Cons- Few improvements can be made to the room which I thought was strange was there are no drawers in the room bedside tables to keep miscellaneous items which u don’t want to keep in the open . Toilet under the sink is open and can see old tilings and it’s quite out dated which is a shame . On the 2nd day housekeeping didn’t replenish toilet shampoo and bath gels and water bottles and overall room didn’t look like it was cleaned well as when we came back in the evening it just didn’t have a fresh feeling as the chairs were not placed inside it was as we left it. upon complaining they did refill and gave the water bottles as well which should have been done in the first place .

The 5 nights we were there each breakfast day was the same food as the previous there was hardly or no changes and by the 2nd day I didn’t feel like having same thing . Also no changes to the fruits always the same each morning.

Used the Spa for mani and pedi which was the quite expensive wouldn’t rate as top notch it was just ok standard.

Since we booked our reservations by Cathay Pacific holiday direct from their website along with our air ticket the hotel said we can’t earn any Marriott points which is another draw back . We paid full price for the hotel through Cathay and still couldn’t enjoy the reward points.

Overall it was pleasant experience .

I suggest the best and most convenient way to reach J. W. Marriott is to go to the Blue Bird or Silver Bird taxi counter and take the taxi from there. It is safe and best way. Interestingly, the Jakarta taxis do not fleece the passengers even if you take it from any place in Jakarta. From the airport they will go on the meter but they will not fleece. Blue Bird taxis are cheaper and smaller taxis than the Silver Bird ones (Mercedes) but even the Blue Bird ones are also good. You can take your pick. All the best and enjoy Jakarta

I did not use the gym during my stay since we walked so much exploring Jakarta and the area where the JW is located is safe and easy walking. But we did use the pool extensively and it is quite nice. But there is a steam room available for guests to use and as one respondent indicated a great spa at the Ritz available to most guests at the JW.
