Firstly, I was a huge fans of this hotel since my first stayed in 2014, I came back in 2021 and feels a bit disappointed with the recent hospitality. I know we're still in middle of pandemic and that's why this hotel give a very good discount for their room but if the discount causing the lack of amenities provide I don't thing it acceptable anyway, unless they put any notification due the booking confirmation. They no longer put the hairdryer on the room and I need to call the receptionist for a set of tooth brush, also their bathroom can be more cleaner, there's some obvious spot around the shower area. For breakfast, they not serve it in the restaurant at the moment, they said "due to the pandemic" such a weird excuse since they open the restaurant for public to dine in. They have 5 menus but the portion are small, my over easy egg only serve with half slice garlic bread (it's not even 1 slice) 🤣
Other than that, I still admire the hotel design, the location and also how comfortable their bed. If only they can improve and also put more light so people can do work from hotel kinda stay would be better, because the room it's quite dark.

Artotel is just like its name. The room interior is minimalist, industrial type and full of art. Very nice, cozy, and suitable for honeymoon, babymoon or staycation with family. The location is also strategic, it's across Sarinah Thamrin, near Jl. Sabang. The neighbourhood is full of restaurant, there's Hongkong Cafe, Bakmi GM, Total Fruit Store, and Pisa Cafe. You can just walk to reach there. And if you stay on the weekend, you can easily join the car free day every Sunday morning.

It was my second visit (the first one was in late May 2018). I booked the Studio 20 unit for a night, just like my first visit. However, this time I asked for a room with a double bed instead of twin beds. The interior was, as expected, artsy and funky. The furniture items were great and the working chair made a twist to my visit (due to its shape, I thought the chair was broken but it was just the structure). Having a room on the 6th floor, I could enjoy a better view this time. However, TV channels disappeared a couple of times and I had to turn the TV off to get them back. The bathroom was just fine. No objection.
The check-in process was quick and easy. Staff members were helpful, especially the front-liners. I also visited BART to have some drinks and this time, the staff members were much friendlier compared to the one I encountered on my first visit. Oh! I visited the art gallery on the second level and it was amazing!
Location-wise, everything is within a walking distance. Looking for a place to eat might take some time due to a plethora of dining venues around the property (we eventually decided to have dinner at Sarinah). The MRT station is also 10 minutes away from the premises. Overall, I enjoyed the visit and would love to come back again.

The pillows are indeed the fluffiest we ever had :) We enjoyed our stay so very much. The whole stuff was so attentive and friendly. We loved the Art Design, we loved the roof top bar, we loved the location and we loved the always a bit changing breakfast. The room was spacious with good Spots for our bags, so that the room felt always tidy and not messy at all. There Was a fridge and a sage in the room. We would love to come back!

We stayed from 30 Jan'24 - 1 Feb'24, coincidentally we were given room 615. Before making a reservation at Artotel, we had time to browse reviews. Many say it's noisy. So far we haven't experienced the same thing. Maybe because we stayed during weekdays so it wasn't too noisy. There was indeed the sound of music from upstairs and voices in the corridor if there were other guests talking loudly. But it's still understandable and we weren't too bothered. The check-in and check-out process is quite practical and fast. The bedrooms and bathrooms are not very clean and seeing as Artotel is an old building, it looks like it needs to increase deep cleaning for property maintenance. The first day, we didn't get hot water, whether the water heater was dead or something. We called reception twice for technician assistance. Technician comes and checks. From here the hot water continued to run until we checked out. Although it's not too hot. The plus point is that the AC in the room is cold, because we are both polar bear couples so the AC must be the main thing. The bedroom curtains are also very good, no light comes in at all, helping us sleep better until noon. Good job for the cleaning team! 👍👍 We wrote a note and put it in the bed, requested several things and it was done well. The best of the best staying here is the very strategic location of the hotel. Just a step away to MRT and bus station. Right in front of shopping malls. And most important, its safe place because it is next to the consulate office. 👍👍👍

I stayed here for 5D, and found the hotel to be clean, tastefully decorated and well stocked. The complimentary breakfast served was also of very good and tasteful quality, there was no repeat of breakfast in the 5D which I was present.
Guest services/hotel staffs are friendly and keen to help, with special mention to Bu Safira who has been very patient with helping me deal with transport staffs upon arrival from Singapore (at 11pm night no less), and subsequently and also going the extra mile to coordinate my check out on her off day.
I would highly recomend this hotel to future guests, rest assured you will feel right at home with the hotel staffs who are well trained and equiped to make your stay as pleasant as comfortable. The hotel is also close to many famous eateries, so in case you do not fancy a meal in the hotel you can always also order.

The location is very strategic, near Sarinah (there are a lot of Indonesian culinary & shops there), MRT Station, and a lot of local culinary. The parking lot is not too spacious, but we got vallet service. The room facility is good, but the water heater in the bathroom is not functioning well and the TV is not smart TV. There is also a minibar in the room, including coffee machine (although we didn’t use it because we want to explore the local coffee shops nearby). The sound of some music outside could be heard in the room (at 5th floor), but it wasn’t bothering us. The staffs are helpfull and friendly. We stayed 2 nights, but we refused to get the room cleaned because we want to stay at the room (we still got some refills and they cleaned the trash). The restaurant is not too big, the food range is OK, but the buffet food is not good enough and too dry, so we decided to get breakfast outside at day 2. We got free complimentary pizza & drink included Nobar Euro 2024 package, and the pizza is good. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for all staffs at Artotel Thamrin.

I knew Artotel for its artsy experience as well as good hospitality for a competitive price.
For the record, this is a long due review. Hopefully things already better now.
First of all, it is a common understanding that check-in time is at 2 PM or the latest by 3 PM. By the time I arrived at 4 PM, surprisingly receptionist informed me that the room wasn't ready. Another note on the reception staff, I was not being greeted like any normal hotel staffs would do when guests arriving at the premise. Maybe he was tired, no smile at all. Fortunately, it didn't take a long wait for us to check-in into our room.
When I entered the room. It was okay, but the cleaning wasn't thorough. I spotted several area covered in dust a bit and a bit of litter around table near the window. The decor of the room was pretty much minimal. Not as it used to.
It's still a good hotel. Though it has seen better and glory days. Artotel Thamrin might need a bit of rejuvenation on their look and service. I would still happy to recommend Artotel to stay.

Its a boutique hotel where most guests arrive by taxis. Hence the hotel do not provide too many car park lots. However guests with cars can park across the road in the shopping mall complex.
it is quite near to grand indonesia in my opinion, it is around 10-15 mins walk. but i would suggest taking taxi or grab to the mall. since it only cost like Rp. 13,000 (grab price)
There are more places to choose from in the Jakarta area.
