Very simple hotel with very nice view on the river below, good for 1 or 2 nights, beds are very simple. Food in the restaurant was nice and cheap. No power outlet on the room but you can charge your cellphone in their restaurant for a few pesos :-)

I stayed there one night only (instead of 2). They charged 200pesos more per night than the halfway Lodge next to them. Wifi switched off at 8pm. I don't care about poor bathrooms but when you travel alone you really have to take care of your budget and be easily connected.

The staff is great, restaurant is good. No charging anything in the rooms which is typical for the area. Biggest issue we had was no toilet seats. This is a major problem and one easily solved if the owners want to. Buying the cheapest toilets and then not maintaining them is not acceptable. Otherwise, this would be a better place....

Affordable clean basic guesthouse. This is good guesthouse in Banaue where there is no more fancy hotels. Guesthouse that serve Bed & Breakfast. Breakfast is either omlette or traditional Filippino breakfast. They offer Lunch & dinner at request. Good view rooms of rice terraces are available

Stayed for two nights - and would only have stayed for one only I stupidly paid for 2 nights in advance. Where to start..I found out from another traveller staying there that I was overcharged for the room. There isn't as much as a toilet seat in the bathroom, the shower is a few trickles of water and the room...

Really great hosts, helped us a lot with our trip to Banaue. They even made me special food because I was feeling sick. Just watch out for the water all around the Philippines (I got sick in Manila). Ask for a room far from the main road as it can get quite noisy at night. Ask for Do Raemon (guide)...

On our 5th day in Ifugao, we stayed in this lodge. The ambiance is more of warm and cozy with a great view of the terraces. Food taste better though a bit pricey compared to other restaurant. No in-room WiFi, but the best alternative to the other lodge we have stayed on our first day.

The service is good, staff is friendly. It was like home when I visited Banaue. The cold and breezy atmosphere is like what we have here in long island, NY. I stayed at stairway lodge and I was lucky to have a room fronting the rice terraces. The view is spectacular. Food is very local, typical philippine delicacy, they should...

We only stayed one night which was enough time to go to the Banaue viewing point on day 1, Batad terraces on day 2 (via the tourist office) and catch the 7pm bus to Manila. We stayed in a double ensuite room which size was ok, had lots of light and was quiet in terms of traffic etc as it's...

I and my friend stayed in the Stairway Lodge on January 11 ana 12, 2014. When I complained to the lady owner that there were no toilet seats and power outlet, she said to her staff that I complained too much. The next day when I helped my friend to complain that his room was smelly and he wanted to...

“Take the double ensuite for a few hundred peso more. You'll have a warm shower (which would cost you extra otherwise) and the view and room are decent.”
