The condition of the houseboat "Big Momma" is not what is on the video that promotes it! When we arrived we watched the crew replace parts to the controls and it took them 4 hrs to clean it before we could board. I think the...More
Did not sleep all night because of an obvious broken bed that fell apart. The window air conditioners rattled and made loud noises and never shut off. We SPECIFICALLY asked about coffee and filters and were told they would be provided. Instead there were left...More
Rented a house boat for four days with 14 people through Grider Hill and we DO NOT RECOMMEND it!! Only one toilet worked, which they knew about. The toilet didn't flush leaving the marina. The generator went out on us in the middle of the...More

Our size was one up from the smallest, whatever that was. Our gas bill was $200 for the generator and $200 for the motor. We ran the generator about 12 hours a day and ran the engine about 3 hours a day. We had a five-night rental. Gas prices may have come down a bit but they are still charging a higher price for being on the lake. Unless they have improved their maintenance, don't expect a real clean boat. When doing your checkout, have them inspect the air-conditioner filter as ours was completely blocked.
