Didn’t stay there , but at the Movenpick nearby (which I recommend). However for the last evening in Boracay I decided to have dinner at their high-end seafood restaurant , which was actually quite good but overpriced (spent more than PHP 8,000 ie more than USD 150 for 2) . At that price I assumed I could at least use their pool for a few minutes but a security guard stopped me to do so and said I couldn’t, even after showing him the receipt and even if the fuy in charge of towels told us no problem and gave us towels. There was no one around in the pool so its not like I was bothering anyone anyway. And I am a Shangri-La Circle member! Bad attitude, bad client service , gave me a bad last taste of our stay in Boracay

Dear Climber60357, We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this situation has caused and for the miscommunication. We would like to clarify that use of the pool and other hotel facilities is not allowed for non-in house guests who would like to dine at our restaurants. However, we wish to have the chance to serve you better should you decide to stay with us in the future. Thank you. Kind regards, Udo Wittich

Our family stayed at Premier Family Seaview Room. If you want a sea view room without obstructing trees, better to stay on higher floors. Or if the view is not important to you, you can stay on a Deluxe room which is much cheaper.. Our room have coconut trees infront of our balcony.. blocking the view lols On our first day, I ate laksa & nasi goreng & got sick the next day. I think eating gata if you are super hungry is not good to your stomach LOL .. the next day I had upset stomach, diarrhea, chills, body pain & fever.. My fever is gone the next day, feeling much better.. but I still had upset stomach & diarrhea for the next 3 days. :( The girl in the front desk was very helpful during this time, Thank you :) forgot to ask your name but we're thankful for your assistance. Thanks also to the nurse who went to our room. ❤️ We had a great time at Sirena Restaurant. The bartender (I think his name is Prince) was super nice. Excellent service. We enjoyed our stay here. If you want more privacy (comparing to the main beach), nice facilities, clean beach, nice pool & good food.. well I think this is for you 😊 Worth your money.

Our first time to try Shangri-La Boracay for our 5th Anniversary for 4D3N. If you are not after the crowd/vibrant vibe of the main beach, then this is the best place for you. Airport Transfers - quick and minimal waiting time, I also like that they have their own lounge at the terminal. Less to No Crowd at all. Room - The rooms are a bit old but clean and the TV though LCD is not a Smart TV. Toiletries and Amenities are standard for a 5 star hotel. They provide 3 liters of Glass Bottled Water daily. Food - The food from their restaurant are all good and expect it to be pricey as they are a 5 Star Hotel. Menu options was a bit limited especially if you have allergies like me. If we stayed more than 4D3N we can probably exhaust the menu. Breakfast buffet was also good with lots of choices (I was expecting less variety since its pandemic) and they change everyday. Staff - I agree with most reviews, its the staff that makes your stay extra special. They try to accommodate your request if they can, like when we asked for a ginger tea (not in the menu) during breakfast as my husbands tummy is not ok. Or when we asked to help set up dinner at our balcony room for our Anniversary Dinner. Beach/Pool - We enjoyed the pool and it was never cold so I assume its heated. The Beach was beautiful but the sand is not as fine as the Main beach. Others -Shuttle going to the main beach/Station 2 is also available but honestly we preferred to stay within the hotel grounds. Overall we are happy with our stay. Looking forward to comeback.

This was my first trip by air in 13 months and I couldn't be happier. Arguably, I could have stayed in better hotels and discovered new places had I chosen to travel abroad, but considering the possible inconveniences because of global lockdowns, travelling to Boracay and staying at Shangri-la was as good as it could get. It had only been a week or so since hotels in most of the Philippines were allowed to open at 70% capacity after having been closed for 2 years and, yet, Shangri-la had not lost its stride one bit, serving customers like it didn't suffer from the shortage of skilled staff, the lack of supplies, and the downgrade in maintenance that other hotels couldn't help but show. The overall result was a stress-free and blissful stay from check-in to check-out. Kudos to Shangri-la's management and staff and thank you for the experience.
