The hotel almost made our vacation bad. The room does not feel welcoming. The light switches turn on all the lights. There's no "atmospheric" lighting for the rooms. The staff, while not rude, seem to be indifferent. The food is terrible! The TV included in our room is more akin to a PC monitor. The internet is slow and intermittent (I can't even stream YouTube). I am not sure how bad other places are, but I'm sure this hotel is below average, and I can't believe celebrities vouched for this place. They must have been friends with the owner.

1. We booked a room thru agoda for a room where we can smoke from the veranda like any other hotels but we were told that they don't have and even agoda knows this. We told them that there was an option to select a smoking option room but decided to let it go. 2. My friends and I work remotely so we asked for the wifi password but we were told that it can only be used in the lobby not in our rooms which does not make sense. 3. We asked for the phone to be fixed in our room so for every inquiry we don't have to go down everytime but until the last day of our stay they still did not fix it. 4. When I went up to my room because I needed to poop, I was told that I could no longer eat my "free breakfast" that I paid for on Agoda because I went out of the lobby. I hardly ate and was told this. Awful service. 5. It was raining and we came from the beach and was told we can not enter their reastaurant because we were wet. We are at a beach island and it does not make sense to not allow your guests just because they are wet. It could have been nice if they offered a towel to dry us up but they just dismissed us.

We booked 3 days 2 nights stay Under my wife name oct 5 to 7 No Wi-fi in the room , you can't use Data from your mobile if your globe user. Bath room is always wet because shower and toillete has no devider. You can't sleep during day time because of the noise outside the room. Last November 2022 my wife booked 9 rooms for our family. Sad that the staff don't have ways to recognise returning guests. Uncomfy vacation.

The room was nice, the staff at the reception Annabelle is doing great. We booked room online and we had to extend, and it was difficult to find an available room the next day coz they are fully booked but she manged to book one for us. Kuddos to the reception team! The wifi was slow, no slippers inside the room. Our second stay, they had to provide electric fan as the AC is not working well and we have babies and kids with us. For a budget friendly hotel, la Carmela is fine.

It was our first time in boracay and and we've booked a hotel in la carmela not knowing all the inconveniences they have during our stay. We already concerned that the wifi is not working properly and they never resolved our problem and we just sticked to mobile data!

Will never stay here again. Okay with their staff. Its just the policies and hotel amenities. Feels just like staying in budget local motel. My advise, dont stay here! Dont try to book here if you have the budget for a Boracay trip.

I booked 2 rooms for 7 days because of the promo they offer, and it is located in Station 2 which is where all the good restaurants are. The location is good, but the rest are not. The AC was replaced 3x in one of the rooms and 2x in the other room. I repeatedly request for an extra key so when we get in the room it will be cooler because the power is controlled by the key being inserted in the power controller, they gave me extra in one of the rooms but refuse to give me one for the other where a senior was occupying. There is one instance when I caught that the technician was making fun of us mimicking us on how we speak my kids does not speak Tagalog. They probably forgotten how thin their walls are. The bathroom smells bad even it was cleaned that day it smells like sardines at nighttime. I had to ask to get it cleaned twice a day. I took a picture of the bottom of sink where the color is brown not sure if the smell is coming from there. I was grossed out my whole stay and was trying to find another hotel because I cannot bear it anymore. But of course, they won't let me get a refund. Breakfast is okay. My kids had complained bugs in their bathroom. There are staff that are nice, but some are not. Like they are not happy to work there either. I would not recommend this place to any of my family and friends. I would not recommend La Carmela to anyone.

The staff was not friendly and not very accommodating. The room however was even worse. The bed sheets looked like it was made and not changed at all the room was filthy and not cleaned. The towels smelled like was not washed there were no amenities were given in the room. The room smelled really bad. The hallway smelled of sewage. There was no wifi available. I do not recommend this hotel even if you are on a budget. This hotel is located on Station 3.
